As Loulong provided us with a replacement thread for CIVIII, I think there's also the need for CIV-PBEM's.
At this point I've had some dead games, but also some dropouts.

Loulong wrote in the CIVIII-version:
This danger can be limited I think provided :

1/ the creator of the PBEM keeps track of all passwords.
2/ the creator of the PBEM is not the dropper
3/ replacement players can be found.

The aim of this thread is to find replacement players easily.

If your game needs a replacement, please post the name of your game, its thread, a description of it and maybe of the situation and say how the person interested must/can contact you.

When/if the replacement player is found, please state it by EDITING your post, not by posting another one. That way, would-be replacement players can easily find what could interest them, and know whether a player is still needed or not by simply browsing the list and especially the latest posts.

This thread is supposed to be of help, obviously it is not compulsory but I hope it can save some PBEMs.

I am involved with a small group, playing a two on two locked alliance PBEM in the Terra Map, with two human teams with two players on each team and several AI nations as well.

This game has been going on for some time, as we started in with the Bhurics v. 3.13 patch well before the 3.17 patch came out. We are over 200 turns into the game and close to the 1000 AD mark.

One of the four human players has had to drop out lately do to time constraints in his life. His teammate has been holding up the fort for them for several turns now, but we would all like to get him a new teammate.

Is there anyone here that might be interested in joining a developed Terra Map PBEM game, nearly before the dawn of exploration and colonization of the new world era, while having the flexibility of running the Bhurics v. 3.13 version (assuming that we cannot change it midstream with the locked assets on). We have a very dedicated group here and we are determined to finish this game, and quite regularly finish a turn a day.

You'll be taking over for me, as I will no longer have steady access to the game come Oct 2nd. The game has a decent pace of about a turn every day. I live in the EST timezone, but typically receive the save early in the morning from a player in Europe and then pass it on to a player who has a wide slot of availability, and so a replacement from almost any time slot should suffice.


The civilization is Rome, leader is Augustus. There are five other civilizations, all human-controlled. Game is on quick speed, standard size, turn is 1360 AD, and most civilizations (including yours) are roughly half-way through the tech tree, finishing off the Middle Ages and starting on Renaissance techs. Tech trading, vassals, and Permanent Alliances are all turned off.


Rome is currently at war with the strongest civilization (Hatsheput of Egypt), but has not lost any cities yet. Rome is in the middle of the pack for score and tech, and has a larger than average military. The position is far from hopeless, although ultimate victory will be admittedly difficult to achieve. Rome has allies, and I will be more than happy to explain the global diplomatic situation via email.


Rome has a public thread for the player to share their thoughts and strategies with lurkers, found here (http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3872) You are encouraged, but by no means expected, to provide occasional updates. I personally have neglected the thread for months now.

The game is up on the PBEM tracker website here, (http://pbemtracker.com/game.php?gameID=52) but Egypt (the preceding player) will have to email you your save file, as the tracker will not allow him to post it. It's an Orbis game (Fall from Heaven modmod), it's about 80 turns into it.
I'm playing Grigori and have all my adventurers alive. I'm a peaceful builder but there's a weak evil AI beside me, enabling you to easily double your territory.
