I've been playing around with the Religeons, nothing concrete, but needed some discussion that might headme in the right direction:

Trying to find a way to make an Anti-Priest, one that can either offensively go into your opponents lands and actively preach against a religeon in a city, taking it away from them, possibly. This would hopefully increase the chances of you convincing his 'state' religeon to adopt to yours. Also negates the effect of temples to that religeon, since no-one goes to that church anymore

Effectively, a city with 6 religeons, 6 temples, monastaries at the moment, get 6x as much happiness,culture,science.. but honestly, who believes that multiple churches is going to make such an incease in happiness? Hello France? -- I think that only 1 particular religeon should get the bonus for any given city, promoting your state religeon with priests could decrease % of followers in other religeons, or worse, exiling or executing a given religeon group, imagine reducing a given religeon to 0% of world followers, and achieving a Religeos persecution victory? Hmm hitler?

Tried doing this for my Fantasy Campaigns, anyone with a fantasy campaign got it to work?: Changing from religeons to Magical schools, you need the particular school of magic to create particular mage units, but I want the Civic effects to be different for each magic school.

I think that the Idea of having Languages able to be 'spread' by diplomats (instead of priests) which gives civs with the same language a benefit in, exactly the same as religeons, but as another layer. i.e. your city has a religeon, a language and a primary school of magic

thoughts?

All of the things you've brought up have been discussed quite a bit, and many of them have been put into mods.

As for the fantasy mod idea, take a look at Kael's Fall from Heaven mod. The religions in that mod are as close as you can get to schools of magic right now.

Ahh, well I didn't see any threads in the top two pages when I posted this, that seemed to address the idea of having both Religeon, & Magic/Language or all three for that matter..

could you post me in the right direction?
