Assuming you've unpacked all the files, this tool will be able to convert the DDS files into more useful file formats. Be careful with converting to .jpg and .gif as you may lose the alpha channel - I'd use .png.

If you use GIMP, there is a plugin you can search for that lets you edit .DDS files without having to convert them first.
