I played few games of Civ 4 over the last couple of days and I really enjoyed it. I was ill so I didn't have much else to do. No I am interested in trying a slow burn PBEM to play over... well however long it takes!

If anyone is interested in starting a game with me please reply in this thread and we can get some more interest. If anyone is starting a new game and is looking for players I'd be happy to join your game too. Please let me know!

I would be really interested to see if we can run the game with a Mediterranean scenario. I don't know how far the Ancient Med mod is progressing, but the idea of everyone playing historic civs (or at least naming themselves such) sounds fun.

But I am realistic, just joining ANY PBEM would suit me fine.

As a player I am of average skill, I’ve played 2 games online and won them both but I don't really rate my opposition either times! I'm really interested in finding players who are happy to play on more levels than just to win. I would be happy to play the entire game trailing last, so long as I had fun playing my country and juggling diplomacy and forging alliances.

Not sure if playing with mods is entirely feasible. I tried it once-- every player has to save the mod files at the exact same location. So you cannot set the game up under c:\octomon\my documents... if I set it up under c:\herandar\my documents... etc. It can still work if you use a standard location (c:\programs\...) and everyone has the same mod file.

I would be interested in this if you are willing to set it up. I remember it was a bit of a pill to get the game to start from a mod that was not in the Civ IV mod folder. I think I used a shortcut...
