OK, so as you can guess, i have finally found my civ3: Conquests disc! :D

I was going to start one of these yonks ago, but never got around to it. So here it is, a nice and easy Chieften level game:

Standard size
Roaming Barbs
Pangea map
60% Water
Normal Climate & Temp
3 mil years old to give lots of mining

I'll take the first start it gives me, because frankly if you cant win Chief, regardless where they put you.. you have serious issues! Not sure what i am wanting to do with this game, we will see where the story takes me!

Dear Diary,
Today we ended our journey. Our people have travelled for too long. The people tire of the endless trudge. Some say my father was mad, his dreams were fevered towards the end. Tonight we have to come with the realisation he may not last long. With this in mind, i have begun looking for a place to settle. The place we are camped tonight is good. There is running water, fertile lands and even sea to our west. I call this site Slozenheim. I dont actaully know what you are, and this is all in my head currently, but i feel someday, somehow things won't just be remebered in memory. I am sleepy anyway, night night

Dear Diary,
My father is much worse, as the heir to his leadership i must adopt a more commanding gate, i swagger about the tents. Telling people to be hopeful for my father. I think we are become more settled here. People are making their tents more permanant. I do not know where my father was pushing us, but i feel something special about this place. I hope i sleep well, tomorro is going to be an eventful day, i can just feel it.

Dear Diary,
Today we mourn, for my father has passed away. I have been appointed as chief. I have elected to keep my fathers advisors, they are wise people and will help me. Today i saw a great sign, a eagle was purched atop a prickly cactus. I am certain it was my fathers soul controlling that bird. I have decided we will settle here permanantly. I will name this place Slozenheim. I have organised the some of the villagers to begin contructing pathways between our settlement and the fertile land to the north-east. In the mean time i will train up some of the other young men within the village in self defence. If were are going to remain here we must be able to defend ourselves from the wilds. Also our women have noticed that a sticky mud within the riverbed holds water, i have sent wise folk to investigate and see if we can make this of use to us. I am pouring any spair funds in this direction as there is no point hourding our wealth.

Are those stones a modded resource or is it a terrain graphics mod for bonus grassland?

Dear Diary, it has been a few weeks since i last did this, but there has been some real improvment within Slozenheim. I recently sent out our the better trained lads to scout out the nearby hills, and they report back there are other settlements out there! http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/6484/2gudgudy6qx.jpg

[Look at me micromanage! I turn down science for one turn.. raking in the 3 gold!
Slam back up.. bronze in twelve, but then swap for ceremonial due to poping hut]

Dear Diary,
Great news, the people from the hills have decided to follow my rule! They were so impressed by my scouts skills, and the level of culture our "civilization" contains. I told them to remain where they were, but to build a more permanent village. I also set them the task of training up more fighters. It is named Hill fort, the locals are trained in arts of hitting things with clubs. They tell tales of intoxicating fruits in the nearby vicinity.
Tired as usual, this has been a very busy day!

Dear Diary,
Today we sent out our first "Currag". Its a very useful little thing which i have sent a team of strong men "sailing" down the coast. Who knows what treasures they may find in their adventures, but they better stick to the shallow waters; early tests have shown they are much too weak to survive the heavy waves futher out to sea. I have comissioned another one to be constructed, i feel the should explore these lands extensivly.

Dear Diary,
My god! The Currag has reported seeing a colourful boundary line nearby, it must be another village! I will scramble up a scouting party as soon as resources allow.

Dear Diary, much to report!
Finally we have laid my fathers body to rest. It was begining to get quite rank and i am glad the Carthagians could tell us the secrets of embalming.. what? i didnt tell you about Carthage?!?

Once my scouting Currag spotted a worker, they were escorted to the Carthagian leader. He impressed my scouts with the knowledge his people had collated. My scouts were able to show him a few tricks and secrets were exchanged. He also ladened our corrag with 10 gold chests! I am very proud of my people, we now know of bronze, masonry, alphabet, pottery, warrior code and ceremonial burial. Do you remeber that sticky mud? Well it turns out if we bake it dry, it becomes very hard and can be used for storage! My wize folk called this material clay, and the art of crafting with it "pottery"

I am sorry this died. I am not sure what my excuse was.

Yes, a nasty necro bump. But I feel bad for simply disapearing.
