Torino/Olympics Mod
In honor of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino (starting Friday, Feb. 10), I've made a small composite mod that adds both the Olympics and Torino, Italy to the game.
It's a combination of my Italy Civ and DireAussie's Random Events Mod.

The mod replaces Rome with Italy and changes Italy's second city to Torino. It also adds random events, including volcanoes, earthquakes, droughts, locust swarms, and of course, the Olympics.

Check out the source mods here:

Olypmics is a great idea - I am glad someone thought to implement it! Is the event actually random in your mod? Would be nice if it shifted from state to state, every ten turns or so, boosting the economy of whatever city it lands in.
Just my two cents - and my first post - woot! :-)

That's actually exactly what the olympics does. I don't remember how many turns go by between the olympics, but it is shifted from civ to civ, boosting the culture and economy in the city that hosts it.
And congrats on ur first post :D Welcome to the forums :goodjob:
