My information comes from more reliable sources then civ stats. Civ stats would have me believe someone has been supporting you who has not. It is just as well that the Roman people are smarter then the true puppet master behind this war or we could have attacked an ally.

Actually Regentman was a city state before you by about 15 turns so you would have to go and kill him before you die to lay claim to that title.

I must have disabled it during the panic caused by my CD burning fiasco. I was seeing 100% CPU use by [System] and thought there might have been an infection. Turned out it was a partially burned CD which was locking things up.

It's been restarted at the beginning of 1675. I'll be watching to see if there are still troubles.

Just kidding. Roman troops have stormed Theoden's capital. Due to superior tatics and complex reasoning skills not a single man died during the fighting. So much for those unit upgrades, they didn't do a thing...

Thanks to all for an interesting game. Although I didn't have much influence throughout most of the game it was still enjoyable to follow a multiplayer pitboss game, and fun to see just how long I could last. And I must say that I lasted longer than I expected, and I could have lasted much longer if I just had had the time to log in during last turn and settle my refugee city. ;)

@Theoden, I'm afraid the game doesn't want to let me select the data to cpoy and paste. But the battle went like this:

I attacked your units twice with fighters, weakening two of your machine gunners. Then I attacked with an artillery peice, it had only 9%? chance of winng or something like that but it did. After that all your other units were hurt. I attacked you with another 3 artillery, all won. You didn't stand much chance after the first attack.

On a side note I am now back up in 3rd place in score.

Tubby was not really my allie..more of a friendship of necessity and sooner or later one of us had to kill the other. Robi just helped get that process started. Well my 5 are correct although nearly everyone else has 1 less then actual.

Also i missed it orignally but just before the grs-dave vs everyone george sigma and robboo took out kuningas so there totals are 2 less.

The pretorian should have fun against the infantry;)

Although I wasn't involved in it, I'd say it wasn't getting dragged into it. I'd say your diplomatic posture dragged you into the war that cost you your empire....ie Defensive alliance and your stance towards techs. Not saying your a bad guy or anything :) , just looking at what (from my POV) got you into the war. I could be wrong though :cool:

I think the breakdown occurred when you guys bailed on the war with Dave, which was fine, but then refused to give techs to the east.

The war of the titans (aka Davids vs. Goliaths War) in the Grs and Davemcw wars. No major benefits but created the second war.
The second war will be known as the "one week war against the east" where I lost some cannons and got 5 cities. :D

I quit against Dave since all of my neighbors quit. I needed to run my troops back down to my lands. Besides, because they were following non-French soldiers, I only had 4 troops left when everyone started declaring peace. I wasn't going to keep going alone in a war on the other side of the world with not many troops while my neighbors sent troops back towards my side of the world. And Tubby helped me out when I had RL personal issues (retook a city the AI took from me and gifted it to me). I gave him a favor back when Robi was eyeballing Tubby's land, and that got me into their war.

Good reasons to ally yourself the way you did, but none the less the reasons behind your getting dragged into the war via diplomacy.

I can only assume this late rush for land means your trying a domination victory. If thats the case then you better count your tiles again because your going to need to kill Whomp and Mauer too to get to that number. Even then you will more than likely be a percent or two short so you will need to take something off BC too, so you might as well declare war on them too while your at it.

Even then you will more than likely be a percent or two short so you will need to take something off BC too, so you might as well declare war on them too while your at it.

Actually, my plan is to attack in order to gain a better position at stopping anyone else from winning. You know, just try and be the one who doesn't lose.

The fact that i have recieved no 10 turn warning, or any warning at all for that matter means i can only assume your either full of hot air or your willing to break our agreement.

I have no agreement with Robboo, if I declare on him then technically you are declaring on me, breaking your agreement. I'm not sure which agreement you're talking about anyway.

Mel..You and I are basically the same postion. I cant win but I can hinder/help others. Why not team up and decide who we want to win. :) I am sure we can come to a "back room" agreement. We migth even agree on who we think "should" win.

Daveshack..I had screenies but the computer death seems to have eaten them. Dam movers adn piss poor handling of my computer. I backed up everythig n"important but not the Civ screenshot files.( also could you resend the last PBEM save...I dont have a current one for our PBEM)

I'm guessing we're gonna have a bunch of late game screenies now that everyone is thinking "Ooh, right. I should've done that!"

Have y'all been keeping screenies? Given how epic it seems to be, anyone interested in putting together a history of the game thread once it's all over?

Which one are you talking about? With your guys walking in my territory with an open borders I cant close becasue of your "accidental" declaration of war. Kinda makes me think about how much I can trust you.

I still think your "accidental " declaration was a rouse to aid mauers mistaken war. :) And then you reopened borders( as a sign of good faith) imediately and then with in 1 turn told me you were going to attack...thereby stoppign me from being able to stop your troop transport thru my area(unless i declare)...pretty underhanded abuse of the game code. how about you pull those troops back out till we can close borders or establish a deal. Sign of good faith.

Robi he could be using my area to move troops to your Western flank. As I have sadi here..he doesnot have my permission to do it but i cant stop him.
