Update - turn 135 in this game has now been delayed until September 10, 2007 (at the current pace). There are more players in this game, but this game doesn't require consultation with teammates, and the MTDG save rarely stops dead for several days at a time (right now is an exception - these are unusual times).

I suppose I can support closing this game.

It has been fun, but I don't think it is going to work with so many players from so many different locations worldwide. The logistics of getting everyone to be able to play quickly (especially since we all have time-consuming RL obligations), have been difficult.

Are we closing this game?

Maybe we should split this group in half… have a Yankee Doodle PBEM game for the Americans, a Down Under game for the Aussies, and if we haven't driven Rik off with our slow play, he could join either one.

This game has gone waaay too slow.

I for one can promise to take every turn within 24 hours of getting it… and hopefully sooner in most cases.

I have found that I am able to play a turn within 24 hours 95% of the time.

Usually I end up playing it in the middle of the night, so if we do set up a Yankee game, we should put me in the order so that the game gets to me at night. Say between 10 PM and 3 AM Central Time.

For what it's worth, I will have C3C on my new work computer, which, if all goes according to plan, will be set up before the end of June. I will want to do a PBEM once all of that is established. I'd not wait for me, though, as there's no telling if something will delay the schedule.

You were the first person to voice a desire to get into this game!

Maybe we can figgure out how to get a PBEM game that will actually keep moving by the time you're ready to play :D ;)

Dont' hold your breath - I'm planning on taking July off, and living at my Grandfather's summer house on a lake in New Hampshire. We have a computer there, but, for some reason, I really don't like using the internet there :hmm:

Due to the new internet filter at school, i havent been able to log in to gmail to play the saves while at school for a month or so.

However it seems that the slow turn around is of concern (which is not just me it seems) ... so I'll start the vote.

While I am happy to continue, and will :salute: ... I vote discontinue.

Though I would have liked to continue this game - I vote to end it, and start 2 separate ones.

I can go either way. If the game will finish, then I can live with the slow pace. The problem is that with long delays, there is an increased chance that it just won't restart. If the game is going to die, I'd rather it die now before we spend any more time on it. My official vote - abstain.

That way those who are having difficulty can also disband and leave the game for those who can play at a swifter rate.

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader, i just cant access it. I've tried to download/open the link with both IE and FireFox, Firefox gets a blank screen and IE (typically) crashes.
