I have some ideas i dont know if its been done or not
:p Artifacts
Artifact units like a sword or armor could you load them in an "army"to Increase the "army" units stats
:king: Hiers Have your palace or any other building produce prince units that can be upgraded to king units.Royal Family Regeside!
 Hero Class Tree I want a hero class tree .yknow likePage-Squire-Knight-Palidan-Archknight This would make D@D style mods Easier
to do hero upgrades
:D I use the term Imprisonment instead of Sacrifice
and Dungeon for the supporting improvement.
 Summon monsters?replace the units attack flc with some kinda dragon flc
and not have the actual summoner disapear.
if these ideas are not new im sorry i wasted your time

Culture as FAME

There are a total of 11 dimensions in this world i dont think i belong
in any of them

Hey, I like these ideas!

But imprisonment instead of sacrifice? The purpose of the sacrifice is to gain culture, there were famous cultures who used sacrifice, but I can`t think why would anyone`s culture spread out cos they imprison people. Now, slavery, thats another thing...

Thanks these were some of my first ideas when i thought of a Kingly style Mod
Culture As FAME?or Strength?
I never liked culture anyway I like VP.
In a south american scenario i could see using sacrifice
I would like to make Enslavement Bribery!or force code of Loyalty or something like that?

If i wanted to change culture to something, it would have to be that thing with barracks someone suggested a while ago, forgot who it was. Make barracks give culture points (renamed to something else) instead of temples. It makes more sense - there are two neighbouring cities, one has a nice temple that makes people happy, but the other one has barracks full of soldiers. Who would have better control of the city radius?

Test those ideas, maybe they could get used in a new fantasy mod?

i dont think the artifact thing could work the artifacts would be the one attacking.
im trying to figure out a way around that but i havnt thought of it yet

Other than no unit ani for the artifacts and the army unit would have to hide
the equipment somehow, as of right now i am incapable of performing such a task as i dont quite know yet how to animate

Same for summoning...just like a multiunit but the monster dont show up till you attack.
Like a dragon swoops in after a wizard cast a spell
could those ani be mixed.

BUT I WILL LEARN.
If it takes forever.
I will start testing later this evening or tommorrow and post results

I think summoning would be doable, it would just consist of more frames than your average attack.

And i don`t think an army has to look like the ones in vanilla, I think any unit could be an army, its just a matter of animation... I wish the more experienced guys could give some more input. :(

The Class Tree could even be a tech tree
could you make all tech not req for era advance and be able to research
from any era at any time basically creating one huge Era
There should be a CIV Tactics Game thats seems as though it would suit me... lol
could the tech still have PreReq
I have civ4 but i dont like it i still love my C3c

bless yer kind words, lad :)

I`m not sure what do you mean with the hero tree.. You would have a special line of ugrades in the tech tree for the extra strong (but insanely expensive) units?

Well shouldnt these hero Class upgrades be Incredibly Expensive?
only Heroes no tech
I think i want to rip the game apart!or something!

Well yeah, but I think its the shield cost that defines the upgrade cost in gold.

Yeah The Diff in shields div UG cost
you couldnt do the upgrade till you research the
Heroes Class upgrade

Yes, And also a spell Tree, Another tree for techs like Heraldry,Blacksmithing
Etc. if the multi era thing would work

I like the ideas, but could they be implemented?

A spell tree doesn't sound very good IMHO. Civ is a more realistic game, unless if you want to make a fantasy mod.

Dammit, I can`t think straight, I compare everything to WH mod, I forgot what vanilla even looks like :crazyeye:

OK, so you have your first unit that requires no tech - a warrior. He upgrades to swordsman, at any time he is available, lets say its a tech called smithing :), makes iron visible on the map. From there on, the swordsman would upgrade to i.e. a hero unit which has higher stats, costs much, needs no tech, but cannot be built by anyone, to make sure they are made by upgrading. The problem with this is that AI almost never upgrades it`s units...

Is this what you are talking about?

I do but with a kingly feel to it.
