I guess I should have included Other :blush:, but we don't have polling standards yet. ;)

The next 4, I'd be ok with any of them, really.

I think we need the traits for them and please do not just link to that page.

Seems we have 5 leading choices ... how do we get an order ... everyone posting 1 to 5 of those chosen civs ???

We need a poll with the top 5 to decide the order. Not multiple choice though.

We have an equal tie at the top so we might need people to state which of the three is there most likely choice they would make.

If i had to choose from the top3, QinShi. If i can choose from the top 5, Mansa Musa.

We should all list our preferred order in a post in this thread. Then we can assign point values to each leader, and tally them all.

an example:

I choose (hypothetically)

Elizabeth (1)
Victoria (2)
Catherine (3)
Mansu Musa (4)
Qin Shi Huang (5)

Elizabeth recieves 1 point, Victoria 2, etc. Once the lists are in, the leader with the fewest points goes FIRST on our list, the leader with the highest numbers goes FIFTH on our list. We can deal with ties in simple polls.

Unless someone has a better idea?

Not surprisingly, the top six are financial, with the seventh, Huayna, getting some support. I guess financial is the consensus favorite. (I won’t be surprised if all five teams chose financial.) To the extent this helps, the other traits and UU’s among the $ civ’s are:

Liz: phil & redcoat
Vicky: exp & redcoat
Qin: Indus & Cho-Ku-No
Cathy: Creative & Cossack
Mansa: Spiritual & Skirmisher
Washington: organized & seal
Huayna: aggressive & Quecha

The pluses and minus of the traits in terms of SP have been widely discussed. In terms of this game, it would seem to me that spiritual, as was mentioned in another thread, becomes more valuable because the unpredictable nature of the game may make quick and more frequent civic changes of greater value. Industrious would also seem to be more valuable because it won’t be that easy to chop your way to the Oracle and other wonders. Organized strikes me as less valuable because I wonder whether any team ever gets to the point of having a large empire (I would guess that if one team did do this, the others would either jointly attack or quit playing.) I don’t see that expansive is that particularly valuable in MP.

Because this is thread is about top five, I guess that means Liz, Qin, Mansa, Huayna, and Cathy. I don’t have the energy to try to tackle evaluating the UU’s in an MP context or to come up with a rank at the moment, except that Liz would of course remain better than Vicky.
