its made in bryce, not poser. (it can be made lighter. i can change the sun/shadows setting)

The one from C4 doesn't seem distinctly industrial. I would vote for Quinzy's if it wasn't quite so dark. I'll wait to vote til I see a lighter version.

bryce goes from blue to black, through purple/pink. i cant get an orage shade, only pinks/purples..

I've decided that I will probably rerender all eras so that the LH is closer to the camera. Its not horrible now, but it looks well, small.

Even though I aggree 100% with that statement, I thing the reverse engineered one from Civ IV (though my fingers loate typing every word of this sentance) actually looks better.

Although I could present a third option.....

I still have the original model I built of the Temple of the Ancients on my HD, and I could render that out in the proper size etc for your LH.....

Yes some thing's of Civ 4 suck, it also has good aspects. I kinda like the flags.

Well, thanks to the game requiring you to buy 3D freakin' studio Max just to mod the units, I've vowed to NEVER buy the game.... Hell, I'm half tempted to write a blistering letter to Firaxis (or even better, make the 45 minute drive to Hancock, MD and present the question in person) demanding to know how much the developers of MAX payed them off for that bit of crap... I mean it wouldn't be so bad if you could use Lightwave (student copy is only $350 and the full version about $750, or about 1/4 of what MAX costs) or Open FX or some other program, but NOOOO you can't, and I'm not buying a program that costs more than my first car and computer put together just to mod a game, that from what I've seen so far, completely sucks....:gripe:

That and having to learn XML and Python just to mod it... Hell, I hate typing Civilopedia crap for Civ III, so what makes Firaxis think that more typing in a code that's slightly more complex than advance Quantum string theory equations would make a game more moddable? :confused:

But that's just my opinion on that subject...

yeah, I will only pay $20,maybe up to $50 for a prog, but I still like the flag's and religon on civ 4, and to upgrade units ablities, and barbarians have cities,ETC. I hated the fact of the programming is a nightmare.

Firaxis is making a built in unit and leaderhead creator for Civ4 btw, it should be compatable with max and other programs.

HT,if you would be willing to render a background for me I'd appreciate it. Could you have the temple accompanied with smokestacks and other industrial-ish things?

I like Quinzy's but I would like the sky orange at sunset, But I like Roman's Pic better, because it looks better than darkness. So I voted for Roman.

I could see about adding some smokestacks and other industrial age buildings in the BG (I still have the buildings I created for my FF VII series modern era as well)....

Some stuff of civ 4 is good, but for the crap I hate about it, We should all go down there and teach them the consiqunce of pissing us off.

BTW, what size do you need the pic at? I've got it rendered out at 200x240 (the actual game size) but I know that some people torture themselves by rendering the LH in Poser at 400x480, then convert the size after they import the frames into animation shop (personally, I've always got better results by rendering to image files at 100% size, rather than AVI at 200%, then using animation shop's animation wizard and hitting Ctrl + A when the select files box pops up, then I have the animation done, whiz-bang... Of course I have to open the Angry image in PsP to extract a useable pallette, but once I've got that, all I have to do is save the animation using my pallette, then I'm done.... All I have to do to get the rev flc is to hit the undo button, select all frames by hitting Ctrl-A and have it invert the selected frames (so now it's playing back to front), and repeat the save deal....), so if you need the larger version, I'll post that instead....

I'm posting whatever size you want as a .BMP file... I've learned to NEVER use JPG files for the BG (they end up looking like crap).

It should be a 400x480 bmp. I render everything as a bmp and combine them toghether in one swift motion using Animation Shop.

If you go down to bother Firaxis, do all in your power to get that source code, It would be so nice to have more than 31 civs and five culture groups.

I think Quinzy could fix the orange thing with the sky if he just took Photoshop and edited the sky area on the rendered image. It wouldn't be that difficult, and it'd make everyone happy.
