It doesn't make sense to have separate nomination threads for each office with so few offices and people, so let's do them here in one thread.

These are the nominations for "term 1". Tentatively the structure is as follows, all for 30 turns. If the government structure approval poll fails then we can always redo this. The most critical office to get nailed down is President / Turn Player, since the game may start very soon.

I've actually been considering a more back-seat role for this game, but will hold off a bit on deciding what to do. I'll definitely be unavailable from 3/4 to 3/12.

Yay! I would love to run for Foreign Minister! I am HUGE on bargaining and negotiations. (But not on spelling, dont worry, I'll proofread offers we make) I have a knack for seeing whats beneficial, and whats not, and weighing the value of things that aren't directly comparable. I frequently play BUSINESS GAMES, and I would love to be placed in charge of our international business ventures, so that we may come out on top. I also have a knack for dealing with people! I am very amicable and have a tendency to take down peoples barriers. I am a negotiator, and I hate when people say things like "Don't compromise our safety, don't compromise our future" blah blah. Because that, my fellow innovians, is turning the word compromise into a dirty word. Compromise, when done at appropriate times, is the NUMBER ONE way to gain on the international scene. Lets face it, foreign affairs will make or break our technological supremecy. It will be an essential part of our nation to remain ahead of the competition, and if we make savvy business arrangements, I promise, Innovia will dominate the competition.

I appreciate the confidence that you guys have shown in me but I will yield the Foriegn Minister position in favor of Nomad Bryce who obviously is very enthusiastic about it.

Ah! Bengeance, I don't want you to decline just to let me have the position! I really really like our team, and I would not be unhappy in the least if I didn't get the position! I really like the work you did in the ministry of interior and I think you'd make a great FM! I think with a team like this, we are in a win-win situation!

Daveshack, do you think you are going to run for president? If you aren't, we'll need some other highly devoted candidates. Personally, I'd vote for Bengeance, Swiss, or Sigma for prez. We really need someone with devotion though.

**Laughs** Well, if it's competition you want Nomad Bryce, then I suppose I'll accept my nomination for Foreign Minister as well. I think a little debate about the issues at the beginning of the game could be healthy. :-)

Abortion is a pretty serious matter and I don't know where I stand on it, but gay marriage, thats just silly. If we want to get married, thats our business.

I'm willing to run but will need someone to play turns for those dates mentioned above.

DaveShack, I'm more than willing to step up and play those turns for you.

NB, I'm not declining just to give you the position. I feel confident in my abilities to perform most tasks, it just so happens that negotiations with strangers may not be the task I'm best suited for. You obviously feel that you have a flair for it and I would not even want to risk putting my mediocre talent in the way of yours. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more time to dedicate to the Ministry of the Interior. How else am I going to cover the world with cottages? ;)

I wouldn't nominate anyone new, just wanted to let everyone know I wholeheartedly support the individuals nominated for the first term.
