I have new save, but waiting for Mensch69's email address. If anyone has it then please PM it to me and we can get this moving on.

Looks like a fun world to be in (my little unfogged corner of it, anyway.)

Anyone know where the game is?

Can I suggest that whenever the game is forwarded on we do the following :

Put a note in this thread so we know who the game is with.

& always put the letters "PBEM" in the subject field - this is because I have a rule set up from work to home email systems which looks for "PBEM" to forward any mail (very useful for weekends). If it don't have "PBEM" in the subject, I won't receive the mail until the next working day.

Cheers

Looks like maybe I'm gonna sneak into this one.

So now I'll ask . . .

How does the 2 City Elimination work?

fluffymatt
Feb 25, 2006, 01:11 AM
That's a good point! I hadn't even noticed that rule! What is it?!

J_RocKeT76

2 City Elimination is 2 city elimination.
You lose two(2) cities, it is the end of your civilization. "Game Over."

fluffymatt
Feb 25, 2006, 01:28 PM
At any stage of the game?

If I lose one city in, say, 3000BC, and then another in 1300AD, is that it? Game over?

Some of my best - most challenging and most fun - games have been those where I was down, back against the wall, but somehow rallied to win. Two city elimination would seem to take that possibility away.

But those were long games. This one is set up to be short and violent. There won't be time to recover if things start to go wrong. So, just win without looking over your shoulder . . . :ar15:

Bad news I'm afraid: My home network seems to have contracted some bad ass problem and my computer is the only one that can load the web at all. Despite lots of (so I thought) clever technical geekery and many hours sitting on hold to talk to useless broadband "support" we've got no where. My local Geek shop has agreed to sort it out but I have to take the router and the other computers there so they can make them 'communicate'. They said it will all be sorted within a week, hopefully earlier. The long and short is that from tomorrow morning (Thursday GMT 0) I'll be offline for up to a week. Hopefully back by Monday night all things going well.

Try and get my move to me by tonight and then the damage will be minimized!

Well, I managed to use my dad's computer for another move, but I'm not going to his house again in the near future... So here's a bonus move:

Sorry for the delay guys. My system's been looked at and I have a faulty router... Hopefully this can be replaced with minimal interruption. I'll keep you warned of future problems. For the (possibly brief) time being, I'm back, and have sent on the save.
