I'd appreciate an explanation of the scope of these two wonders. How far out does the cost reduction extend, and are the benefits cumulative?

I don't know the answer (sorry), but it was funny because I was just ready to start a thread with the title:

Meaning of course Versailles, because they work much better when they are in a distance from the Capitol (and I intend to conquer them, either way).
