View Full Version : RPG Test Trial
Strider Feb 26, 2006, 05:12 PM Okay, this is just going to be a "test trial" of the RPG. Were not going to cover the economic portion of it, just the story/character creation/stat portion.
Here's the deal, make a character using the rules (posted below). Anyone can partcipate, just post a character. The deadline is the end of this month (so you have two days to make a character). If you don't understand any of the rules, just post inside of the main RPG thread here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=158786) or PM me.
Character Creation:
Getting Started:
There are three general aspects in creating a character. The first one is the basic info, the second is choosing your stats, and the third is choosing your merits/flaws.
Step One:
To start off, you have to give give your character the following:
Name (we much prefer if you give your character a name similiar (or exactly the same) to your forum name)
Age
Gender
*Biography/Physical Appearance
*Means it's an optional field.
Choosing your Stats:
Your stats are ranked from ? to a maximum of 10 (all characters start off with a 2 in every stat.) When you create your character, you have 15 points to put into any mix of stats that you want. This is permanent and can not be changed. You will also not recieve any additional points to put in stats, so choose wisely. The stats are as follows:
Strength (STR)
Your overall physical poweress.
Agility (AGI):
Your speed, dexterity, and reflexes.
Intelligence (INT):
Basically your mental processing power. How fast you think.
Wisdom (WIS):
The amount of information you know.
Endurance (END):
Ability to withstand pain and hardship.
Bravery (BRV):
The ability to reactive under fear or nervousness.
Control (CTL):
Your mental control, the ability to remain calm in stressful situtations, etc.
Sense (SNS):
Eyesight, hearing, sense of smell, etc.
Merits/Flaws
Merits/Flaws are a way to add some spice to your character. They also effect your stats. Merits/Flaws are completely optional, but for every merit you take.. you must take a flaw. You can take up to a maximum of 3 merits. The bonus to taking merits/flaws are that only by receiving stat bonus's through merits/flaws can you get over the maximum number of 10. You do not have to use the merit/flaws system. If you do choose some merits/flaws then you may get rewarded for playing your character by them. (IE: If you choose the merit Calm Heart, and the flaw Hard of hearing.. having your character "yell" in situtations that need silence may get you rewarded).
Warning: The merits/flaws system is complex, so if you want to just jump right in you can skip it. You will be allowed to come back and choose some after you've created your character.

Sure, unless we make some rule changes that make it impossible. Nothing that happens here will carry over to the real game though.
You can make a character with the Same Name, Age, Gender, Merits, Flaws, and Stats though.

Swissempire Feb 26, 2006, 09:14 PM Okay bear with me, i did the full bio for this baby:
Name: Swissy Chipper
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Biography: Born in the country side outside of Boaring Wallow he had a very twisted upbringing. His father was Pignaldo Oinkie, a well known politician, and his mother was Herti Tsarbig, a prostitute. Pignaldo Oinkie was a well known Destiny Party member, but he was married to Lady Superr Ich, daughter of Evenmorer Ich, a cousin of Hapshetsut. The birth of Ille Gitimit Oinkie( Swissy’s given name) was a scandal that rocked the new nation. Pignaldo Oinkie was forced out of politics and the Destiny Party ventually folded. The divorce was a big mess, and Pignaldo ended up with nothing. In a bout of rage he tied Herti Tsarbig to a board wighted down by rocks and thrw her into Lake Wallow. He ran with Ille to the edge of BW’s cultural boundaries, and lived as a farmer. To avoid attention he changed his name to Prova Lone and Ille Gitimit Oinkie’s to Swissy Lone.
Prova always blamed Swissy for him not becoming Censor, and beat and molested him. Swissy was always a loner, but he eventually made friends with a boy named Onli Wun. One day when Swissy was 14, Onli was over there hut when his dad came into the room with that look on his face. Prova puched Swissy and knocked him out. When Swissy came too, he saw to his horrer that Onli was cowering in the corner with Prova yelling, at him and advanceing on him. Onli was yelling for Swissy to help him, yelling at Prova to stop. Swissy couoln’t take it anymore and picked up a copper hoe and swung it at his father’s head. It had the intended affect.
After this life Changing experience, Swissy wandered the Licentian Homeland, doing what he had to to get by. Eventually he settled down for a little while, becoming a sow herder. And to his astonishment one day the Great and Holy Chip revealed himself to Swissy. Swissy was awed, and after the revelation became the Head Acolyte of Chip and Chip’s first worldly avatar. Swissy adopted the surname Chipper which means “Son of Chip”. Swissy is not actually the son of Chip. Swissy devoted his life to gather information about Chipism and the world. It became apparent that he was not the only one the Chip or others revealed themselves too, just the first. He spend most of his time traveling the known world preaching, and collecting precious manuscripts.

Strider Feb 26, 2006, 09:18 PM :hmm: Everyone has made intelligent characters so far. This should make for an interesting experience, and I wonder how we are going to fair in the fighting department.
So far CG and I seem to be the only people who you could call a fighter, and neither of us would be that good at it.

I was actually imagining alot of "Run Away!"
Now we need someone to make an old man thats Hard of Hearing, and we will have the perfect comedic line-up.
Swissempire Feb 26, 2006, 09:31 PM Could someone post kinda a synopsis of what we do in the RPG, can we do our own thing, or do we have to travel in groups, like i'm totally clueless when it come to that stuff!
Strider Feb 26, 2006, 09:43 PM Could someone post kinda a synopsis of what we do in the RPG, can we do our own thing, or do we have to travel in groups, like i'm totally clueless when it come to that stuff!
This is going to be a group "quest" type of thing. However, in the real RPG... you can do whatever you want to.
The plan is to allow you to buy items, houses, etc. with gold while your out adventuring. However, not all of the cities will have the same goods. IE: The city near copper is the only one (currently) that would sell copper weapons.
Basically, in the real RPG once it's released. When someone wants to start up a "quest" they basically just post a thread detailing the quest and asking for people to join. If your not partcipating in a quest, then you can travel, or just hang around one city and buy things, or you could even talk in a pub, etc.
This "quest," I plan on being a group of cartographers who's job is to map the eastern portion of our peninsula in detail.
I'll post major events, then you guys post your characters reactions/actions to those events. Then based on those reactions I'll keep the story moving.
Bengeance Feb 27, 2006, 10:04 AM Name: Bengeance
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Bio/Physical Appearance:
6'1" tall, medium dark tanned skin, lean muscled frame, wearing leather clothing that has been patched many times, tied about the waist with a leather thong
Bengeance was born in a small mud hut on the east side of Boaring Wallow. His parents were lowly pig farmers and struggled daily to provide enough food to feed themselves and their 7 children. Bengenace was the second son and therefore was not likely to inherit any amount of property from his father. He worked long hours in the fields building strong muscles and an excellent work ethic. While it was clear from an early age that Bengeance was not blessed with exceeding intelligence he was not stupid and paid attention to what happened around him.
Bengeance had always displayed impressive agility. He was known to walk along the top of the rough log fences that he labored so long to build, partially to ensure the construction was sturdy but also for the sheer enjoyment of walking along where others would surely fall. There was little more of note about Bengeance as a young man. All of that changed one night when he was sleeping in a rude tent among the fields of his father's small farm.
On that night Bengeance had a vision. A being who called himself Chip visited Bengeance and instructed him to leave Boaring Wallow for a place far away. Chip promised to send another to Bengeance to guide him in his new life. Not wanting to disappoint or anger this awesome being Bengeance left the next day heading south to a place he didn't know.
On his way south Bengeance was visited by another follower of Great Chip. The prophet cIVpassIVe blessed Bengeance and presented him with a gift of sweet liquid. Under the influence of this strange liquid Bengeance had another vision this time of a beautiful goddess named Alvaro. Alvaro instructed Bengeance to continue south and take up the care and protection of strange creatures called horses. Alvaro promised to reveal much about the future of Licentia and the role that Bengeance and the horses were to play.
Since his visions Bengeance has finally arrived outside the young city of Abydos and has taken up residence in the Horse Plains northwest of the city. There he works dilligently every day in his service of Chip and Alvaro. Those who have met Bengeance in recent days carry tales away of his strange habit of stopping in the middle of a conversation and staring into the distance as though he is listening to someone else speak. Often he will forget what he was speaking of and take up a new topic when he returns to himself. They also speak of his curiosity to know anything that travelers can tell him and his constant talk of the training and riding of the beasts in the Horse Plains. No one has ever seen one of the horses ridden but Bengeance claims he has done it and that he will teach others how.
One day while Bengeance was tending to the herd of horses, Alvaro came to him and told him, "You will take with you the best horse in the herd, and you will return to Boaring Wallow. There you will perform an important task. You will take part in a quest to explore and discover the lands given to you and your people by Chip. Go now to Boaring Wallow and begin your quest."

cIVpassIVe Feb 27, 2006, 10:37 AM Name: Civilious Tut Passiveo (those close him call him Cpass)
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Biography:
Civilious Tut Passiveo was born in the lands near Germania to a widowed peasant farmer. He did not know his father, but townsfolk talked of a wandering brutish warrior who came from the far north one night and was boarded in by the widow for one night before she became pregnant with him. From then on, everyone put one and one together and got three.
As a young boy, Civilious toiled as only farmers do, tilling the hard soil and moving large boulders out of the seeded fields. By his 13 birthday, it was obvious to the Germanic townsfolk that he didn’t come from their “stock.” Barely a “man,” Civilious stood over six foot five, and weighed more than any other two grown men in the community. By 16, he could lift boulders out of the ground with each hand and toss them a fair distance.
While helpful in the field, the folk in town were frightened by his size and strength. People ridiculed him, first behind his back, but soon openly in front of him. They called him an “ogre” and a “dim-witted troll,” all the while hoping he would leave their community. Over the years, these insults weighed heavily on Civilious, and he became filled with anger and hatred toward them.
His mother, Helgannana, was a strong and determined woman (she had to be in order to run a farm and raise a child all her own), and she sensed the inner turmoil and self-loathing Civilious was experiencing from the constant berating from the townsfolk would soon tear him apart.
On his 18th birthday, Helgannana went to Civilious and said, “Cpass, son, I think it is time for you to seek out your own life, your own path. I have grown weary of tilling the land, and want to sell the farm to a younger family. I haven’t talked about your father much, mainly because there hasn’t been much to tell, but I think it’s time that you seek him out.”
She then told him all she knew about the stranger from the northern lands, a place called Licentia, and all she suspected. The next day, Civilious packed up a sack full of his few worldly possessions, kissed his mother and promised to return one day. He then headed out on the north path…

You can do that later also ;). It won't be happen when the game first starts, and will likely happen in the later stages of the game, but yeah... you will be able to do that.
As I said, I want it to be a Story-driven Economic RPG.
robboo Feb 27, 2006, 03:21 PM dumb newbie question.
Whats the point? Goals?
Will it help or hurt demogame participation numbers?
Seem if you add more and more layers of stuff and offices..people get confused and leave. No explanation for things makes it harder for a newbie to break into these things. That is my biggest problem so far with the demo game--lack of explanation and the attitude of "you should know" from previous games. Its bad enough when you guys makes references to past games and have inside jokes and comments that the rest of us cant even figure out.

The Civ3 DG2 RPG was extremely complex, however, because of it we had quite possibly the largest partcipation level ever. We actually had problems with people not paying attention to the demogame itself, and just playing the RPG.
Complexity itself doesn't really cause confusion, it's the lack of any point to start off at. When you first join the DG, where do you start? I'm already trying to begin a starting point for those new to the demogame, but the RPG will have a clearly defined starting point.
No one should be expected to learn all of our rules in a month, much less a week.
GeorgeOP Feb 28, 2006, 12:26 AM Is there a link to the DGII RPG? I would also like to see exactally what is needed and happens. So this character might not make it past the Trial Run. Heck, she may die during the Trial Run and one of her offspring may take over the family buisness.
My Character:
Name: Georgette Oswaldo Peckham
Age: Too old to tell you her age
Gender: Female
Biography: Georgette was with a group of hunter-gatherers. It was a tribe with 5-10 males and 15-30 females. Anytime the group got too big, it would split in two. Power in the tribe was based on physical ability and age. Georgette was just getting old enough in the tribe to become the matriarch when the tribe decided to settle down and found a city. Disillusioned at not recieving what she thought she deserved, she left town. After two years of living on her own she realized she would have to rejoin society out of sheer necessity. ALthough it was not her original tribe, she joined with the people at Boaring Wallow. She does odd jobs around town, usually manual labor, to earn enough to eat. She has never built a house or claimed any land, however, for she still likes to retreat to the wilds at night. That is how she plans to spend the rest of her days, but there is always the off chance of one day being reunited with one of her children.

Strider Feb 28, 2006, 05:16 PM Okay, this is the cut-off for the RPG sign-ups. Were taking no more applications.
I'm giving everyone the rest of this day to make any changes to their character, be it stat, merit/flaw, or anything else. After this, it's all set in stone.
The basic storyline is the following:
We are a group that has been assigned to create detailed maps of the eastern portion of the peninsula. The duties of each partcipant is the following:
Strider - Cartographer
Sigma - Researcher
CivGeneral- Cartographer
Veera - Guide
Swissempire - Cartographer
Bengeance - Scout
cIVpassIVe - Guard
GeorgeOP - Guard
Usually you will beable to choose what you "want" to be, but I chose based on abilities for simplicity purposes. You can make up any reason you want as to why you signed up, or any other probability. As long as it's realistic ;).
Swissempire Feb 28, 2006, 06:45 PM As Swissy lay down his head in the Licentian Hotelhut in BW, He sighed. He had been preaching all day, and no one had even listened. He shook his head and began to pray on his mat. Afterwards, he sat in his bed, going to meditate. Lighting some incense procured in his travels, he picked a poster on the far wall to use as his focal point. And he sat and stared
After about 1 hour, the incense smoke had filled the room, and suddenly the poster began to move. An errie breeze pick the poster off the wall, and Swissy followed it out side, it staying out of his grasp until he came to the edge of Lake Wallow. The paper then began to float, turning towards him.
Suddenly it caught aflame. A deap voice sayed "Swissy". "yes" he replied. "outstreach your hand". And Swissy did. The flame engulfed the paper and then jumped on to him. Swissy caught on fire, but was not burnt." As you map out the faith, you must also map out the land". Swissy was filled with visions of lush forests, hills and coast. " It will be dangerous, but you will have protection, not only the protection of Mandition, but of the beleivers. You know what to do." THe flames turned from orange to purple to a searing white. Swissy screamed "I know what i must do!"
Swissy sat up right in the smoke filled room, covered in sweat. In his hand was clutched the poster reading:
By order of the Licentian President Daveshack:
There is much land unexplored in our homeland. A group of Cartographers, and Guards are needed. You will be rewarded in your journey. For more information, please inquire at the Department of Explorative Affairs. It is located in a hut on Cobblestone Path.
Sincerely,
Poste Remaker, Undersectratary to the Deputy of the the President of Poster and Bulletin Board Affairs, And Cheif of Staff for the Deputy of Cave Graffiti Removal
Poste Remaker
GeorgeOP Feb 28, 2006, 11:02 PM Georgette is always looking for manual labor to pay for her next meal. The tavern owner told her one night that he heard someone was looking to take some people out into the wilderness. She asked around town and eventually found out the new posters all over talked about the job. Not being able to read, she had to flag down the local town cryer to read it for her. She knew her skills of the wild, plus her phisical stature and love of work would be exactly what this group needed.
Bengeance Mar 01, 2006, 07:25 AM One day while Bengeance was tending to the herd of horses, Alvaro came to him and told him, "You will take with you the best horse in the herd, and you will return to Boaring Wallow. There you will perform an important task. You will take part in a quest to explore and discover the lands given to you and your people by Chip. Go now to Boaring Wallow and begin your quest."
Bengeance went into the herd and found a magnificent mare. Her legs were long and graceful and she was a very fluid and fast horse. She was a beautiful chestnut brown with a deep black mane. It was this horse that he had first ridden and the one that had formed the closest bond with him. He called the horse Varo in honor of Alvaro who had led him to this place. He climbed on Varo's back took hold of her mane and started north back to the land of his birth.
Sigma Mar 01, 2006, 11:34 AM News of this great expedition flew around town, and it was inevitable that word would reach the Science Ministry. At this time it was headed by Sigma II, a 43-year old man, and a descendent of a long line of Licentia's greatest scientists and philosophers. This news was on his mind all day long; he was unable to concentrate fully on anything else.
Later that evening, he returned to his hut and found his son, Sigma III, enjoying his dinner. He sat down beside him, turned, and said with a grave, but proud expression, "My son, the seasons have come full circle 20 times since you were born. It is time for your rite of passage, so that you can become a man. A group of Licentia's bravest and wisest is forming, to journey to the Eastern lands and map out the area. You will go with them, my son. You will use the skills that I have taught you, and the ingenuity that resides in your blood, to help them out of danger, and guarantee the success of their mission. You will invent new ways of looking at the land, so that their job will be easier. You will encounter peril, but do not fear, for I will always be with you. If you encounter a problem, you will already know the solution; it will be in your heart. You will do many great things in your life; this is but the first. Now go, my son, and live up to everything I know you can be. You will make me proud."
As his father stood up and left the table, Sigma III finished his meal in silence. His face remained expressionless, even though he was overcome with many emotions: joy, fear, anxiety, doubt, nervousness, understanding. Without a word, he walked out the front door, into the unknown.
Strider Mar 01, 2006, 04:26 PM OOC: From now on, anything said "Out of Character (OCC)" please mark as so. This is mainly just to avoid confusion.

Map:

*Reading from a letter*
Striker, due to your distinguished accomplishments in exploration, you have been ordered to create a detailed map of the eastern lands. This includes the eastern portion of our peninsula and the strip leading to the mainland.
Enclosed is a map that was created by your predecessor.
*End Letter*
Okay, we are starting our expedition from Boaring Wallow (OCC: See the area marked "ducks" above). We will make out way due North, hugging the borders of our new new city. From that point, we will make our way east along the coast (OCC: See "Me Finger Here" above). We will make a "zig-zag" pattern after that, from the east coast, to the tip of our current borders (OCC: See "[Unreadable Name] Died Here."). We will continue the zig-zag pattern down untill the Strip of the land connecting us the to mainland. After that, we will head West along the peninsula side of the Southern Coast.
Each of you have distinguished yourselves in some form or fashion to be standing before me (OCC: Yes... distinguished. Try to stifle your laughter). With that said, I will accept no complaints, no mistakes, and no arguements.
We leave tommorow morning, so I suggest you all prepare for the trip.
Bengeance Mar 02, 2006, 07:28 AM Having been told what the true mission was and given his assignment Bengeance was excited. He had been given a higher mission by Alvaro to explore the land that Chip had made and he was going to be able to do that now. His trip up had given him a chance to bond even more with Varo. They now moved almost as one when they were traveling.
Bengeance had not traveled much north of Boaring Wallow. He had heard of a new city to the north and of resources that could be found there. He was excited about the chance to see new people and places. He could spread the word of Chip, Alvaro, and his vision for the use of his horses.
(OOC: Do we need to visit a shop and buy stuff or are we having food/supplies provided for us?)
cIVpassIVe Mar 02, 2006, 06:07 PM Civilious had long since wandered deep inside the land of Licentia, living off the land where he could, working the fields in remote agricultural communities for food in exchange. Cpass now found himself in the center of Licentian culture, the thriving city of Boaring Wallow. Far from the quiet fields of grain that Cpass grew up, it was difficult to be inconspicuous when towering over so many people.
Cpass found work at a local taven hut run by a bunch of self-proclaimed idiots, keeping those who drank too much of the hut's wares from hurting themselves or anyone else. It was easy work, for Cpass could quite easily pick up even the most "animated" of the patrons, and carry them home. In return, Cpass found respect from those who regularly frequented the place, and even better, he got warm meals and a warm animal skin to sleep in out of the elements.
Then, one day, some of the hut's patrons were talking animatatedly about a quest into the unknown lands to the west. Cpass' attention was caught when they began to talk aboout going where "only our mightiest of warriors once dared to tread."
That was all he needed to hear, Cpass finished out that evening, and resolved the next morning to seek out the leader of this quest and offer what services he could provide....

We leave tommorow morning, so I suggest you all prepare for the trip.
lol as a casual observer i just couldnt stop laughing at the map  pretty good build up all of you so far.
Strider Mar 02, 2006, 07:36 PM OOC: I made it up in paint in about 10 minutes, most of the time was spent writing the notes. It's alot harder writing in paint than it is drawing. Also, no.. for simplicity purposes... were just go to conclude that we all have the basic supplies to carry out are duties.
The adventurers were awaken by a loud call of "Wake up!" (OCC: My creativity at it's best.. you were awaken by a call of Wake up! Heh... well I thought it was funny.) Slowly the band awoke, and began gathering their gear and supplies.
"Okay, I want Georgette, Bengeance, and Veera on the lone horses! I will drive the first wagon with Sigma and Dodonna onboard. Civilious will drive the other wagon, with Swissy onboard," Striker yelled to the scrambling group.
"Bengeance I want you to scout ahead of the pack, make sure that their are no hostiles (Bengeance SNS roll: 2; You see nothing in the path)!" Striker stated after the group had gathered. "Civilious and Georgette, keep your weapons a ready... just incase."
With a slight groan from the wagons, the group began the journey.
"So, what are you doing here? I see very little that could be studied out in these wildlands." Striker said to Sigma.
OCC: At this point, there isn't much to do. So my suggestion is. Talk to eachother, it doesn't have to be big discussion, but it helps character development. However, remember the assignments above. Veera and Georgette can basically talk to anyone they want to, however, everyone else is stuck with the people on the wagon they got assigned to. The only exception is Bengeance, who is unable to talk to anyone, because he's scouting. Of course, if you wanted to... you can always hold a chat with a rabbit or something.
cIVpassIVe Mar 02, 2006, 09:51 PM Civilious was immediately awake and alert, following the commands of Striker. He jumped into the wagon seat, which creaked mightily underneath his bulk, and he grabbed the reigns - It's just like driving a plow, he told himself.
Swissy jumped on the wagon beside him, and with a lurch, the wagon lept forward....
As the morning waned, neither Civilious nor Swissy said a thing, but they exchanged numerous glances. Finally, Swissy, turned to Civilious, looking him up and down, and said, "The Almighty Chip must have Big plans for you."
Civlious frowned, looked at Swissy and said guardedly, "I don't know anyone named Chip. You must be thinking of someone else."
Swissy smiled, "I think you misunderstood me. You don't know or have ever heard of Chip, then? Well...."
Bengeance Mar 03, 2006, 11:22 AM As he scouted ahead of the rest of the party Bengeance pondered a strange thing he had observed. He was sure he had seen Swissy making the sign of Chip earlier in the morning as they all awoke and prepared. He had no idea how many followers of Chip there might be, but he was surprised to find one in his party. Many people have come to know Chip and many more will. You are not the only person that Chip has great plans for. Also know that Chip has truly blessed this gathering and will be with you as you travel his land.
Bengeance was not startled by the voice in his head. Alvaro spoke to him many times a day and did not always bother to wait for him to finish whatever he was doing.
Now keep your eyes open and be about your mission for Chip also created many wild animals that would love to feast upon you and your companions. And as always remember that the Omegacat is everpresent. We must continuously be vigilant against his designs.
Bengeance put his wonderings out of his mind and began scanning the surrounding area for any sign of animals or people. He knew there would be time later in the day to speak with Swissy about his experience with Chip.
Sigma Mar 03, 2006, 01:44 PM Without hesitation, Sigma III climbed into the wagon and sat down in the back. He had arrived late the previous night, much to everyone's surprise. He had only enough time to introduce himself (to those who didn't recognize him already), pack his things, and catch some sleep before heading out early the next morning. But no one had asked him why was here until now.
Sigma gathered his thoughts, sat up, and turned to Striker. "We were brought here together for a reason that we will both find out later." Sigma had always been a man of few words, and the words that he spoke frequently were cryptic and had hidden meanings. He was also a firm believer in fate; that things happened for inexplicable, predetermined reasons. He knew that his presence on this expedition was set in stone many years ago, and the events before now have been leading to this point.
While Stiker was still pondering, Sigma dug around in his sack for a minute and pulled out his hand, closed around some object. Looking up, he said, "Besides, I think this will be of some use to you. I've been experimenting with it for the past thirty moons." He opened his hand and let a small, silver rod fall out, hanging freely by a string that he held between his fingers. It was thin and pointed at one end, but round and thick at the other. It swiveled for a moment, and then oriented itself in the direction that they were travelling.
Strider Mar 03, 2006, 06:23 PM After an uneasy, and mostly sleepless night, the troop awoke the next morning. It had started to rain sometime during the night, forcing Striker to yell out orders to dug the wagons out of the mud. After almost an hour, they were on the move again.
The miserable day only got worst. The wagons constantly got stuck in the sludge that the rain formed, causing them to constantly stop to dig the wagon back out. Not only that, but an uneasiness fell into everyones mind, dampening moods and destroying any charm.

You see a group of barbarians, likely a raiding party of sometype. It may be best to head back and warn the rest of the group.
GeorgeOP Mar 03, 2006, 08:55 PM Georgette hasn't been feeling well the past few weeks. She knew she was getting older and her body wasn't what it used to be. Between the cramps, the bloated feeling, and difficulty to pass her food it had been rough. She had hoped that going this far into the wilderness away from civilization would help her. It didn't appear to be working. This morning she had to concentrate hard not to grimmace as she led the carts out of the mud.
On top of all her problems, today it felt like the ground was shaking and sinking at the same time. She was worried at first and stole glances at Striker and Swissy, but neither seemed to notice it. "It must be another sign of old age," she thought to herself. "Well, you agreed to go on this trip you old coot, don't try to back out now. I've just got to suck it up and overcome this."
Swissempire Mar 05, 2006, 01:47 PM OOC: Has Bengeance told us about the barbs yet
Swissy strentched his arms, and snuffed out the incense he was burning. "Chipdamit, i'm running low on incense." It had been much to Swissy's suprise that he found another in the group so devoted. And he wasn't even from a town he had preached in! Yet that was not his major concern. He was muddy, and prayer had been hard because of the odd sense of uneasiness. He also felt like he was getting odd glances from the old lady, Georgette."Probably thinks i'm some kinda nutcase", he muttered under his breath. But none of that mattered at the moment, he had to track down Civilious and build some trust with him. He could sense that he had so much potential.
Strider Mar 05, 2006, 02:47 PM OOC: Has Bengeance told us about the barbs yet
OOC: Not yet, that's why I didn't do anything yesturday. However, if he doesn't say anything by tonight, we have no early warning ;).
Bengeance Mar 05, 2006, 08:02 PM OOC: Sorry guys...was visiting family and didn't have as much internet access as I anticipated.
Bengeance was having an indepth conversation about the future of his horses with Alvaro when she said
You may want to look over there next to those trees.
When he turned to look he saw what was unmistakably a group of men coming his way. They did not look friendly. In fact they looked decidedly unfriendly. Bengeance knew what his job was. He turn Varo around and began trotting through the muck back toward the party. They had stopped for lunch earlier and were probably finishing up now. He didn't think that the barbarians had seen him, but they were likely to cause trouble one way or the other.
When he reached the camp a few minutes later he told Striker, "We have a group of unfriendly warriors headed our way. Don't know if they saw me or not but they are coming right this way."
Sigma Mar 06, 2006, 12:11 AM Sigma III felt the first tinge of homesickness this morning. He woke up earlier than usual, scarfed down some breakfast, and had to help dig the wagons out of the mud (even though he knew his feeble arms weren't contributing much). He missed the commodity of home, the cooked meals and the familiar faces, and waking up by the rays of sun coming through his window. He drew a breath of the morning air, wiped the dew off his brow, and let out a quiet sigh; he knew that today would be rather dreary. As if on cue, the rain picked up again only minutes later.
When the group stopped for lunch, Sigma found a tree and sat under it to keep dry. He was a little ways away from the group, but no one was really talking. It was clear that everyone was disheartened by the rain. He ate his bread slowly, for thoughts of home had been weighing on his mind, and he didn't have much of an appetite. All the while, he had a strange feeling that something was wrong, a feeling that was different from the depression caused by the rain. Bengeance set out to scout the area quite some time ago, and hadn't returned. Had something happened to him?
As he was finishing his tasteless bread, he heard the sound of hooves behind him. He sprang to his feet, and rushed toward the rest of the group where Bengeance had dismounted. He overheard the word "barbarian" and was immediately stricken with fear. "How many of them are there?" he shouted quickly. He had never been outside of his hometown, much less far enough in the wilderness to encounter the barbarian hordes that he had heard many stories about. He knew he'd have no chance hand-to-hand with an enemy warrior, and his little legs wouldn't be able to take him far. The only way out of this would be to trick the barbarians...
Bengeance Mar 06, 2006, 07:20 AM "I only saw 5 of them. They don't have any horses and I couldn't see any kind of weapon except clubs. They...."
Bengeance cocked his head as if he was listening to something that no one else could here. He nodded his head as everyone else waited for him to finish saying what he had started to say.
"Yes, that would be very useful to have. I wonder how I could make one of those."
cIVpassIVe Mar 06, 2006, 09:06 AM It's not that Civilious yearned to be in the wilderness, but it was where he felt most comfortable. Having grown up working outdoors, coaxing life from the soil, he felt at home amongst the trees, grasses and wildlife. As he had journeyed north from his homeland toward Licentia, he had encountered all manner of birds, and strange four-legged animals. While some of those beasts would flee from him, he learned quickly to avoid the smaller ones with grey fur or the very large brown-furred ones....
Civilious now had feelings nearing regret for signing up with the group. With the number of people in the group, it would be nearly impossible to avoid or hide from anything they came across, which had been relatively easy to do, even with his considerable bulk, when he had traveled alone. While his traveling companions seemed kind enough-none of them as of yet had made disparaging comments about his abnormal size-he felt uneasy around them. Civilous couldn't put his finger on it, but it seemed like there was simply too much going on behind their eyes....
The rain was refreshing, however. As a life-long farmer, moisture from the sky was always appreciated. Pushing the carts through the mud was easy work, but it's similarity to pushing a plow made his heart sick for his mother's calm assuring voice. Noone talked, but Civilous could tell there was general appreciation for his knack for getting the wagons unstuck in the muck...
Suddenly, the one called Bengeance erupted out of the brush. Five strange men, headed their way! He had heard many rumors of bands of ruthless "barbarians" roving the country side, pillaging and murdering groups of settlers. He had never encountered any of them in his travels, but the thought of them and their hateful ways, filled him with anger! While he had never killed a man before - hurt, yes, but never killed - Civilous seethed with a desire to do more than just hurt these men....
Swissempire Mar 06, 2006, 04:01 PM The sound of hooves woke Swissy up from his quick rest under a Rignultious Tree he had been sketching. Quickly he finished his short desription of it "The Rignultious Tree is a that is skinny at the base, grows fat around the middle, which holds the lush pale Rignut Fruit, and grows skinny again at an empty top. Named because it is much like my Aunt Rignultious in that regard". Putting away his Bark Tablet(good for travel and writing with the new Licentian Aphabet), he got up to join the discusstion. It seems that a band of traveling barbarians had been found.
Everyone was talking about what to do, Bengeance and Civilious calling for action, and the one known as Sigma III calling for trickery. Calmly, Swissy waited for a quiet, "How do we now that this group means harm? I know for a fact that many groups of nomadic traders wander these parts. I think before we slaughter these people, we should find out why they are here. In fact, i'll volunteer to go talk to them" Swissy looked around to a bunch of dumbstruck faces, and with his smug smile, waited for a reponse.
Strider Mar 06, 2006, 04:20 PM "Traders? Out here? The only city nearby is our own, and there is no trade paths in this area!" Striker said quickly. "Okay, everyone.. lets get out of here and hope they didn't see us!"
"Dodonna! Take Veera's horse, you and Georgette try to hold them off on horses! Bengeance, get back out there and follow their progress! If they haven't seen us, then I don't want to do anything that might give us away! Everyone else, get the wagons moving!" he quickly ordered.
Striker ran for the nearest wagon, scooping up any items that was taken out. Throwing them unceremoniously into the back. Running around the side, he hopped onto the seat and slowly got the wagon moving off of the rock.
Within minutes, both wagons were off of the rock, moving towards a old forest to the east. They never made it that far.
With a loud "crack" the ground fell in, swallowing the wagons and all of those in them.

OOC: Here's the situtation, everyone except CivGeneral, GeorgeOP, and Bengeance have fallen in a "hole" of sometype. For the time being, we are safe from the barbarians. The three who were lucky (or unlucky) enough not to join us, are on horseback and still have barbarian problems. Everyone who recieved a Minor or Major injury in the fall are "unconscious" for the time being, unless you passed your control roll (that means no talking to those who didn't). Anyone who received a Major Injury is in a life threatening situtation (that would be Sigma).
So, here's the deal. Striker and Veera (the only two people who made it "awake" during the fall) has to find, recover, and aid everyone who fell down the hole. Meanwhile, Bengeance, CivGeneral, and GeorgeOP is still stuck upwards, outnumbered by barbarians. So they either have to flee.. or stand and fight (it's up to them).
Swissempire Mar 06, 2006, 04:43 PM OOC: Just thinking in my unconcious state
"Get in the friggin' wagon Swissy" yelled Striker. "Fine" Swissy siad as he jumped in the back. Under his breath he muttered "Paranoid Prick, thinks he is Chip himself, the way he acts". Civilious, looked back at Swissy "Sorry, i didn't catch that, what did you say?" "uhh, nothing. Have you looked inside yourself recently?" "No, i've been lifting up wagons out of the muuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!" Swissy heard something crack and felt himself falling.
He thought he opened his eyes, but that was not possible. Swissy looked around him, and all he saw was pink clouds and a dark red sky. Three beings were floating near him. He recognized them as Giddio, Papirus and Manditon. Giddio spoke in his high v\squeky voice to the other two deities, not knowing i was awake "What a loser, falling in a giant pit" Swissy sat up and said "Well we're not ALL omnipotent," not think of the ramifications. Manditon spoke up" Giddio, begone, your presence is not needed." Turing to Swissy he said "Do not worry, the Omegacat will be visiting you or the Large One. It is the Tri that may soon bring bring a tear to my eye" Swissy, totally taken aback by the wierd god poetry, simply said "Thanks" Papirus looked up from large city block sized tome she was holding and said simply "Pink for poison, and Green for Good" At that all went dark.
cIVpassIVe Mar 06, 2006, 05:01 PM OOC: following suit....
Civilious felt himself conflicted by what the Commander had ordered. His anger made him want to stay and fight, but orders were difficult to ignore. He jumped in the front of the wagon, just was Swissy jumped in the back.
The feeling in his stomach and the whine of the horses was all he noticed as the ground gave way...
Civilious dreamed of a place of dark fog and jagged rock...he was alone...but not entirely...for there was something...something sleek and black...lurking just beyond his sight...he tried to reach out for it...only to grasp wispy tendrils of nothingness...he throught he heard a growl...
Sigma Mar 06, 2006, 05:21 PM Sigma had no time to react. The last thing he remembered was a crack, followed by a scream, as he fell out the back of the wagon tumbling into the earth. As he hit the bottom of the hole, the wagon landed on top of him, breaking many bones and cutting off circulation to the rest of his body.
He woke up seconds later. Time seemed to have stopped. He tried to move his arms and legs, but he couldn't feel the rest of his body. The back of his head felt wet. He could see a dim light far above him. He thought he heard voices, but they sounded miles away. He tried to take a breath, but his chest was pinned down. As feeling began to return to his extremities, the pain was so immense that he blacked out again.
Bengeance Mar 06, 2006, 05:22 PM "Traders?
Bengeance had gotten up on his horse and started back toward where he had seen the barbarians. No sooner had he gotten back into the trees then he heard a great rumbling crack sound from just behind him. He turned back just in time to see the back of the last wagon disappearing into a hole in the ground that had not been there before.
"I wonder what did that?.....OH CRAP, everyone is down in the hole."
Bengeance hurried over to the edge of the hole but couldn't see anyone. He called down to them but no one answered. He looked up and saw that Georgette and Dodonna were still here as well. He called over to them.
"Can you see anyone down there?"
"No, we can't see anyone. What are we going to do about the barbarians?"
"Oh yeah, the barbarians. I don't know. They didn't look that tough and we've got horses, but we need to help the others if we can. Maybe we can find someway down into the pit to get them out."
"But we can't be finding a way into the pit if the barbarians are going to be coming up on us any minute."
"I've got an idea. Let's try to hide nearby so that we can watch for sign of either the barbarians or our people. I'll watch the barbarians to see if they are still coming this way. You two hide in amongst the trees on this side of the pit. The direction that the barbarians were coming from should bring them close by us if they keep coming this way. If they get too close to the pit we will jump out of the trees and attack them."
"Okay, we'll hide in that thicket there."
Bengeance nodded. He knew that if they could keep quiet they might not attract the attention of the barbarians. He knew horses well enough by now to know how dangerous one could be if you got in the way when they were running and he hoped that if it came to fighting they might be able to ride down the barbarians before much could happen. But if it did come to a fight Georgette was about twice the size of any of the barbarians he had seen in the group.
He picked his way through the trees trying to make as little noise as possible and keeping an eye out for the barbarians. As he neared the edge of clearing where he had seen the barbarians just minutes ago he thought he caught a glimpse of movement in the clearing.
OOC: I'm gonna leave it up to Strider about where the barbs go. :)
GeorgeOP Mar 06, 2006, 10:10 PM Georgette grabbed her club and got prepared for a fight. She hadn't expected to actually battle out here, and she wasn't looking forward to it. This was supposed to be a simple...
The ground started shaking hard and there was a defining roar. Her horse nearly tossed her from the saddle. Someone must have done something against Jelena. She felt a strong wind blowing in her face, and when she turned around she found herself at the edge of the world.
Then she realized it wasn't the edge of the world, but the ground behind her had had sunk into the ground. All of the wagons and most of the people had been sucked into the hole. She was about to ride away from the hole to avoid being sucked in when Bengence called out to her.
"Can you see anyone down there?"
"No, we can't see anyone. What are we going to do about the barbarians?" asked Dodonna, the only other person not in the hole.
"Okay, we'll hide in that thicket there," replied Georgette. What she didn't say to Bengence was whether she would attack the bandits. She had lived off the land as they had. They were just trying to survive. It was survival of the fittest. At the time, the people in the hole weren't the fittest. This was just supposed to be a babysitting operation, not a suicide attempt. Hopefully the bandits would pass. If not, Georgette would just have to find a chance to ride away. She just hoped the no one would do something foolish.
Sigma Mar 07, 2006, 10:57 AM OOC: Is someone going to save me here? My internal organs are going to start dying soon...
Bengeance Mar 07, 2006, 11:28 AM OOC: So far only Veera is awake and capable of doing something. We on the surface have no idea what is going on down there. Hopefully she will be able to do something.
GeorgeOP Mar 07, 2006, 03:03 PM OOC: How deep is the hole? How far away from the hole is my hiding place. I'm assuming we dismounted from our horses, or are we still mounted? How close to the edge of the hole do we have to get to see the other members in the hole?
Strider Mar 07, 2006, 03:51 PM "argh, what the hell was that?" Striker moaned, spitting dust and dirt out of his mouth. He looked around quickly, and to his utter surprise... found dug-out walls of granite, instead of just rocks and dirt. After further inspection, it seemed that they didn't just fall into any "hole," but a mine shaft of some sort. There was a small underground lake,
He soon forgot his curiosity when he suddenly remembered the others. Quickly turning his attention to the nearby wagon (OOC: Striker was on the bench when it fell... so physics would compute that he got tossed off the wagon during the fall. Those *inside* of the wagon however... would still be inside.) He quickly got to work finding, and recovering his companions.
After a short while, he found Civilious. He quickly ran over to the un-moving guard and after a quick scan of his injuries, attempted to awaken him. Civilious had barely awaken, when Striker noticed Sigma.
He was layed out, giving off a hoarse rattle with every breath that was taken. Realizing that something was wrong, he fearfully moved toward Sigma, hoping for the best.
OOC: As there has been no post by Veera, I'll just automatically consider that everyone else is now conscious again.

Map of the Grasslands where we orginally was:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads11/Grasslands.jpg
Map Note: The raised cliff like areas are suppose to symbolize the hills. the barbarians on on the other side of those. The wagon on the map is the area that we were camping on... and then area where the wagons fell into the hole (I know there is only one wagon in the photo... give me a break). Also, the wagon is directly behind the tree inside of the center of the map.
OCC: Now that we have more maps, I'll give those up above a chance to respond to the actual terrian of the land. For those of us stuck below, we first have to get ourselves together.. and then find a way out.
For the three who are still on the grasslands, the purpose of me seperating the group, was because I didn't want to spend the entire story with just my guy giving out orders... and you guys following them. I want to give everyone a chance to decide their actions, and see how it effects the story. Stay on your horse, dismount off your horse, whatever you want to. It's your choice.
Swissempire Mar 07, 2006, 04:41 PM OOC: Should Sigma stay uncocncious while he is gone to memphis?
Swissy's eyes were still blurry, but other than that and a large gash running down his torso he was okay. Wait a second, there was a huge gash running down his torso. The pains suddenly registered "Holy Friggin Manditon, this Mama-mater hurts like the Abyss." Everyone else seemed to be shaking off there injuries too. Swissy looked around, and dicovered that they weren't in a hole, but a...."granite cavern" he heard Strikers voice echo.
Quick as he could, he grabbed his wicker backpack, and made his way over to the underground lake. The water looked pristine, but he dared not drink it. Curiously, to the side he saw plant life growing. "huh" he grunted, moving over to it. There was this odd looking trees and ferns growing out of the boulder. Straing at the oddly out of place pink and green ferns and vine, he suddenly his escapade with the gods. "oh, now i get it." he remarked. He picked one of the largeing green leaves and using some vines, he bound it to his gash. Then he picked some berries and thorns from the pink ferns, just in case. "Over here" he yelled. He didn't notice some odd rippling in the water:eek:
Strider Mar 07, 2006, 10:26 PM OOC: A question for everyone. What do you think of the use of the two "visuals" I posted above? Like them or dislike them? Also, let me clarify. Sigma would still be knocked out, CivGeneral was awaken by me... and Veera woke everyone else up. Sigma should be the only one in dreamland at the moment. Which.. for him, is likely a good thing. One thing I have discovered though, is that there is really no stat for "healing." I guess wisdom will have to do though.
Sigma Mar 08, 2006, 12:52 AM OOC: I'm here and I have internet access - for free! Yay! Now someone save me. ;)
Oh and by the way, I could've sworn that CivGeneral was stuck up above while cIVpassIVe fell in the hole.
Bengeance Mar 08, 2006, 07:10 AM OOC: I like the visuals. It will provide us with a more realistic roleplay than just making up the scenery in our own heads.
cIVpassIVe Mar 08, 2006, 07:24 AM OCC: Like the visuals as well, and yes, Civilious is in the whole, and was just woken by Striker
Civilious stirred...it was dark, just as his dream had been, but here he was no longer alone. Striker crouched near him, and as soon as he noticed Civilious awake, he moved on to someone else...
Civilious took stock of his body, he could tell something wasn't quite right. Then he noticed that as he tried to feel his right side that he couldn't life his right arm. The pain in his shoulder was unlike anything he had ever felt before, and his right arm hung limply at his stide. He poked and prodded his right arm, and didn't experience any additional pain, so he concluded the problem was in his shoulder....
He propped himself up on his left arm and looked around. They had fallen into a cavernous underground area, which had a slightly sweet smell in the air. Civilious arose and saw Striker standing near one of the demolished wagons. As he approached, he could see someones legs amongst the rubble.
"What happened?" asked Civilious.
"The ground must have caved in. Unfortunately, it looks as if the wagon landed on top of Sigma...it doesn't look good. Can you help me get this wagon off of him?"
Civilious lifted up the battered hull of the wagon and placed it slightly away from the body....there was a sickening moan....
Strider Mar 08, 2006, 04:51 PM A few hours late, things below had calmed down considerably. After tending to Sigma's wounds, they set about recovering what supplies they could. Creating a small cart out of what remained of the wagons, they loaded Sigma and as much supplies in it as possible, then set out through the north passage to explore the mine shaft, and hopefully find the way out.
They soon found signs of humanity, a mining pick, a small bundle of items, a bedroll. The items became more numerous the farther they went, untill they turned a corner to find a village.
It was located within a fairly large cavern, with only two entrances. One entrance had a set of mining tracks, leading to who knows where. The village, if it even deserves that title, consisted of about 6 raised wooden buildings.
"What the hell is this?" Striker said after turning the corner. "This isn't ours is it? Wait, this place looks abandoned. I wonder what it was used for."
Not even caring if the others followed him, Striker walked into the cavern. His curiosity led him, not only walk into the center of the village, but to actually walk into one of the houses.
"Nope, no one home, and it seems that it's the same way throughout." he stated after returning. "Okay! Everyone spread out! Search this place, I want to know what the hell it is! If you find anything, find me at once!"
The Cavern:

-------------------
Utegadi had been the leader for some time, ever since the last leader died of sickness. His people had walked these lands for hundreds of years, so it was only natural that they would be unhappy having others take over it. Utegadi hated these strangers had no only been crossing their lands, but making their homes on them!
His scouts had reported the band, causing a grin to spread across his face. In minutes, his band was on their feet, hungry for the blood of those who has invaded their lands.
The crazed band crossed over the hill, only to find a hole in plains. They charged down, and quickly reached the hole. It didn't take long for them to discover what had happened. They had fallen into one of their own creations! How had people so stupid managed to push his tribe back into these lands? It must be only by sheer numbers!
Utegadi, still laughing, ordered his band to turn around. There will be no blood split today.
OOC: The three left above now have to decide on what they want to do. Remember, that you have no idea that the "hole" was actually a covered mine shaft. So logic would be that everyone who made the adventure down is currently dead. Usually, the best option at this point would be to turn around and head home (which is my recommendation also ;)), however, it is ultimately up to you. You can report the barbarian band to the closest city (which would be Micalian's Gate), then go anywhere you want from there.
Swissempire Mar 08, 2006, 10:32 PM "What the Chip" Swissy exclaimed when they walked into the village. He could not think of anything more odd than this. He also had an odd feeling. A feeling like the village was non-deserted. Not inhabited, just non-deserted. Immediatly after Strikers instrucitons, Swissy walked towards the large hut on stilts.
Upon entering the room, Swissy was facinated by a Large, Golden Idol that adorned the wall. It was a woman holding in one hand a pickaxe, and in the other hand a child, who was succling here breast. Below it was a golden altar. Swissy walked up to the altar, and saw on it a golden-bladed dagger, with dried blood on it. In a bowl to the left was..... A HUMAN HEART. Swissy vomited, looking up only to yell "Striker, STRIKER". Swissy stumbled back and hit his head on something. He looked up, and saw in cages above him, 10 teenage boys, dead, without hearts, and "other parts". Screaming frantically now, Swissy ran out of the hut, screaming "Striker, Striker, Anyone". Over and over he made the sign of Chip. He fell to the ground, drew a circle around himself, and rocked back and forth, muttering a prayer for those boys and his souls.
OOC: Strider, like the models, there amazing, but could you mark where we are on them. The models are awesome!
CivGeneral Mar 09, 2006, 04:14 PM As I look around, I began to wonder what to do next. "Somehow we need to wake someone up, Sigma would have to be woken up in order to proceed"
OOC: I admit that I am a bit behind on this since I just recently gotten back into this.
GeorgeOP Mar 09, 2006, 11:38 PM OOC: You're hiding in the bushes with me waiting for the wariors, hoping they don't see us.
Bengeance Mar 10, 2006, 07:26 AM Bengeance was relieved to see that the warriors had come into the clearing, found the hole in the ground and left the scene. He carefully walked Varo to the top of the hill and saw that the barbarian party was moving back they way they had come. He thought it was safe to go back to the others and try to see what had happened to the members of the party that had fallen into the hole.
He went back to where the other two were hiding in the bushes and asked, "Have you seen or heard anything from the rest of the party?"
Sigma Mar 10, 2006, 02:24 PM Some time later, Sigma III slowly began regaining conciousness. "Am I dead?" was the first thought that entered his mind. He turned his head and saw Veera near him, with Striker and Swissy off in the distance. It looked like they were exploring something. As he was looking around, he noticed his legs were pointing in the wrong direction. It all came rushing back to him: the crack, the scream, the fall. Getting more nervous, he tried moving his legs, but the attempt was met with an intense rush of pain. He tried lifting one of his arms; he could slowly move his fingers, but his arm felt very heavy, though it didn't hurt as much as his legs. He opened his mouth to try to ask where they were, but all that came out was a howl of pain. The other party members turned around, startled.
He tried to restrain himself, but it was no use. He cried out in anguish many more times, as the screams echoed off the walls of the underground caves. He didn't know where he was, and he didn't know if he'd ever be able to walk again. He wanted to pass out, but it didn't look like it was going to come so easily this time...
Strider Mar 10, 2006, 08:42 PM "Oh god" Striker mumbled when he reached Swiss. His facing turning ashen, he quickly turned away, searching for clues as to who may have done this.
He found his clues seconds later, an arrow flying through a nearby window, missing by mere inches. After slight hestitation born from shock, he pulled out his spear and ran for the attackers.

Striker laid on the ground for awhile after the battle, he couldn't remember precisely how he got on the ground in the first place, he actually wasn't even certain if this was the ground. After a few minutes, he rolled over and attempted to get to his feet. Pain racked his body, a long gash on his upper shoulder causing him to fall right back down.
"Civilious! You there?!" he yelled. "Check these bodies, see what they have on them! I don't think I can get up!"
Striker rested his pounding head on the ground, watching slowly as blood seeped into his eyes. Time was lost, as he laid there waiting for his life to drain away. He could already see the light, and his vision started to fade slowly away.
"Striker!"
His mind raced back to the present, causing him to raise his head towards the sound of the call instinctively. Before him, stood Civilious. In his hand, laid the crest of the Mongolians.
OOC: The three players who are up above. As soon as you guys pick something to do, then I'll start up your storyline again, but you HAVE to decide amongst yourselves what your going to do. It doesn't matter what you decide, it's completely up to you. I like the idea of you guys returning to one of our cities though, then I get a chance to make a city in the Aurura toolset ;).
Swissempire Mar 10, 2006, 10:55 PM OOC: I fought in the physical world, now its time to fight in the mental one :D
"Oh Chip, oh Chip" Swissy was thinking. HE opened his eyes, or thought he did, but all there was was white, pure white nothingness. But in the corner, a shadow came forth, growing ever bigger. 5 peircing gold eye slits opened, and the shadow purred "From life to death, the wheel turns. Surely you must know of me, you are the heaven bringer, for Chip was the beginning, and i am the end. I am the Omegacat. The Apoclyptic Panther, The Last Leopard, The End Lion, You bring Heaven, and I bring HELL. And i am your dessssstiny". By now the shadow had filled most of the white void. With talons of pure abyss, the Purring Prince lashed out, only to have his paw caught by a blade of a green glow. "Not this day, not this time" yelled Manditon. "For Chip may be the Creator, and you may be the Ender, but i am the Protector. And in my duty i must protect the Bringer and the Preacher(Bengeance). So vile demon, you must leave. Now."
The Omegacat was not one for following instructions "Interference is not your duty, begone before i make you". Manditon swung his verdant blade, missing the Omegacat by feet. "No worries Manditon, they say life is full of mistakes" the Final Feline purred. "That is true, but this was no mistake. I plan to do my duty, and make no mistake, i have." A green tendril of energy lashed out, wrapping around Swissy, and throwing him into a rip in the white nothingness. Swissy reentered a state of unconsiousness, vowing to remember the gift he had been given.
