Could someone post a tutorial for 3DS Max or a similar modeling program? I noticed Rabbit, White's exporting tutorial, which is helpful, but I'd like to see a tutorial on how to actually create or edit models in 3DS Max.

There're already tons of tutorials online. Check for example www.3dtotal.com which has many helpful ones and links to other great sites.

I highly recommend you go out to 3dbuzz (http://www.3dbuzz.com)
and check that site out. On the main page hit the video training link. While he does charge for some of these "VTM's" there are also some free ones out there.
Jason is a great teacher and I highly recommend that site.
