The battle of London river. The Russians and the English clashed on the flood plains to the north east of London. My watching warriors were unimpressed and both sides took heavy losses. And Captain Rudolf informs me that only the arrival of Russian archers prevented a loss.

The initial wave of archers met fierce resistance as expected, but I launched a full scale assault from the hills and broke them. We are in the city and only a handful in the town square still deny me. We will regroup and hit them at first light.

Colonel Clauswitz assembled 90,000 germans for the assult on London. Crossing the river by night the colonel took the english by surprise ad masacred them on that glorious night 11 1100BC. the colonels report informed me that losses were non-existent and he is more than capable of taking on the russians if they come knocking.

Hell dat! I like the smaller pic sizes. Seems like a lot of pixels get wasted in early games where people start giving too many unimportant details starting in 4000bc. You really don't need full screenies until you have studiable maps and contact with two or three other civs.

Zis wil be a hard war. The Russians have many horsmen and spears and recently have discovered iron. But they do not reckon with ze superior training and tactics of the germans. I have 4 cities with barracks pumping out swords and a few spears.

It is done. I have thrown caution to the wind and ordered Colonel Clauswitz into to the suburbs of Khabrovosk. The enquiring Russian Envoys were dismissed without talks and war is inevitable. Clauswitz must strike hard and fast and then repel the inevitable counter attack. I move to the front tomorrow. FORWARD GERMANIA!!

Khabrovosk has fallen quickly to my troops. The attack was as decisive as it could be. Now to survive the counter attack.

Scouts report that massed Russian Horsemen are travelling through the marshes I an attempt to retake Khabrovosk.

VICTORY! Colonel Clauswitz led a ingenious escapade into the marshes at midnight and the Russian cavalry have been dispersed, such was there fear that a hundred thousand men fled from a force half there size. They will be back put repelled just as easily.

VICTORY again!!. My eastern army has taken Krasnoyask in a vicious fight that lasted many days. Reports tell me that only a final push by Germanic spears broke the Russian defences.

Th war is going well. The russians dont look like breaking any of my cities and my units are free to attack as they like. I will launch an assult on Bryansk and later push on to Smolensk.

I use ImageShack (http://imageshack.us) to host my screenshots, they provide thumbnails that link to bigger versions when you click them.

Yea, i tried to host them on imageshack but the pics are too big for image shack to hold.
Mine are 2.5MB each!! which is very strange. I pruint screen them into paint btw.

Don't use the bitmap format if you use Paint. Save in a more compressed format like JPEG or PNG.
