I wish you came back to Civ III... :(

I am retired of the Civ3 World and just make few things to Civ4 sometimes, my main activitie today is to produce my own games and modeling for fun, all this when I have spare time. The cool thing is these models can be converted to Civ3 and Civ4 units or props to them by the unit creators hands of both games ;) :D

Cool, I just noticed this (I never check this forum!). I hope some guys use your Celtic shield, because a lot of units have come out recently with utah's spanish pikeman shield and some shield variation would be cool.

CivArmy, how about your Visigoth guy? That was always my favourite model of yours. I liked his clothes (textures???) and shield (same as Celtic shield? Can't remember).

I think Kinboat made a female model to go with the male one in his humanoid thread.

Stormrage

Sure, there is a female paperdoll figure, I think Robs 2nd edition of the Iceni chicks uses it :)

Roman Legion
May 08, 2006, 05:13 PM
Kinboats model has clothes, I want to add clothes to it, not the ones he has, so does anyone know where I can get a female Poser model?

Have you tried Googling it yet?

Plotinus
May 10, 2006, 03:03 AM
Poser does come with basic human models, male and female, so I don't know why you don't have one. But if you go to Daz' website you can download Victoria 3 for free. (Cunning buggers - they give you the base models for free and then charge you through the nose for all the accessories!)

Civ Army, what is the robe that your Persian soldier is wearing in that picture? Can I get it from somewhere round here, and if not, is there any chance you could post it? Thanks a lot!

ShiroKobbure
May 10, 2006, 03:05 AM
its part of kinboats samurai pack. but its hard to work with

Roman Legion
May 10, 2006, 02:57 PM
yeah, but the Female base for Daz is like 70MB, that would take forever to download, but my friend has Poser, ill install poser 4 on my computer later.

CivArmy s. 1994
May 10, 2006, 05:46 PM
@Roman Legion: I must produce some human models, but it is hard to me now, I tried before and I didn't have success. Ask Kinboat to make a female "naked" model ;) I'd use it to. It'd be cool have some female warriors on my game :D

@Plotinus: Shiro is right, that cool robe is part of the Samurai Pack.

@all: the preview of my Classic Column here, no downloads ready, but I'll do some Classic Buildings like this one to the scenario of the game LOng Live Rome. enjoy :)

I use Bryce 5 to create compositions, Poser 5 to create animations and 3ds Studio Max to model. But u can use 3ds Studio Max to do all this, I just don't know how. And I suggest u to start with Poser ;)

Futbol? Who calls it futbol? We call it football (when using an english (brittish) term, cos its reall football. In your perverted version of the game the players just throw or carry the ball 90 % of the time! Its like calling baseball football, cos the players stand on their feet!

Civarmy - fine, if we win the Cup! Deal? :D

I'm a bit alarmed at Roman Legion's apparent belief that the US is going to go to war with Brazil and Croatia, although I have to say it's even less likely that the US would ever beat Brazil on the football field...

Croatia made a good Half Time :goodjob: , but your team had cold head to win the match :D Unfortunally we didn't play 50% what we know, we have to get better if we want to win the World Cup. I must say that I'm English and I loathe football and particularly the World Cup and the empty-headed nationalism that accompanies it. I spend half my time in London and the other half in Singapore, and I was highly annoyed to find that I'd be in London, not Singapore, for the World Cup. Now everywhere I look there are vile flags and people dressed as Templars, whereas in Singapore people care so little about this sort of thing that the government runs ad campaigns to encourage them to support national sports teams!

That said, damn good show for Croatia, only losing 1-0 to Brazil!

[Civ Army] I hope you realise that the only way to stop this OT fest is to make us some more models so we can talk about those instead...

Whats wrong with British people being proud of being British? just as long as that proudness doesn't destroy anothers freedom?

In my state, we really get Patroitic with regards to our Massachusetts-ness/New Englandness, especially when our local sports teams are playing.

Or are the fans just being reallly annoying? Lol

Whats wrong with British people being proud of being British? just as long as that proudness doesn't destroy anothers freedom?
It's English people being English, not British being British ;) .....and I'm one of them!!

Back on topic, I think I may use some of these as my experience in 3DS Max grows. Some really great models here :goodjob: .

Civ you should hook up with Steph whos also a programmer, his SSS project shows alot of promise(can use all civ3 graphics too), like your ROman game does.

Hopefully soon making units for Civ4 will become easier, because I want to mod that game as well.

@Stormrage: Maybe your team will advance to the next level, Japan will lose to us the next game and I think Australia has half time out of the next match (too many yellow cards)

BTW, we didn't play as well as we wish, but we r qualifed to the next level!!! [party]

I hope we will, we have to beat Australia.. I think our guys were just really nervous today, there is no other explanation for missing 16 chances, including the penalty shot! I somehow knew he was gonna miss it - when the referee declared a penalty, everyone aroud me was screaming and celebrating, but I knew

I didn`t saw your game today, I was on a trip, but I listened it on the radio, it sounded exciting :)

Plotinus
Jun 23, 2006, 03:54 AM
Why comment at all, then?

Also, why do Americans say they "could care less" when they mean "couldn't care less"? It always sounds so odd!

The Dubai Tower looks cool but completely incomprehensible! It looks like a sort of sail.

By the way, I had a go at Civilization Fighter. Very impressive, although I had difficulty choosing my character, and when I'd done it, the computer whupped me with ease!

I agree, I have to re-do the model and texture of the Dubai Tower, that building is cool and I want to do it, but I can't model and texture correctly :( I'll try it again later.

I googled images of "civilization.fighter" and just appeared artworks done by me, but none of them r from the game Civilization Fighter  They r Civ3 untis and other stuff, some old and cool stuff :D The official game site to download and see the images is http://www.geocities.com/CivilizationFighter , come on people, try this one! :D

CivArmy's fighting game made with MUGEN engine. I wonder if the characters are fully compatible with basic dos MUGEN.. If so, I'll add them to my +/- 500 fighters menu. ;)

Hi Meesis,

1. First off, welcome to CFC :xmascheers:

2. Your post belongs in the main C&C Forum, not here (don't worry, I bet a moderator will move it).

3. Bumping 6-month old posts for the wrong reaon(s) is generally considered poor form around here - I'm not castigating you, merely filling you in on "the rules of the club". Starting a new thread in the main C&C forum would have been the way to go.

4. Check out the "Tutorials" section; yet, if you have Conquests, all you basically do is unzip the Mod into the "Scenarios" (NOT "Conquests") folder and it should show up when you start the game.

Cheers,

Oz

Hi Civ Army. I just downloaded the roman pack but I was wondering what path do I use to put the files in? I tried to just unzip them in the main poser file but it didn't work. I need to manually send them to their proper folders. What's the path?

Also, do you know where I can get a toga like the one the Ceasar leaderhead has in the game?

Thanks! :)

Hi! :)

Hi! :)

I'll use only antique civilizations in Evolution and I read somewhere on Internet the mysterious Nok are the root of the Benin civilization? Is it right?

As Plotinus said, I have seen these images yet and I was doing the Benin leaderhead years ago and I was not able to model his wig in that time. To be honest, I think I continue not able to model his wig today

I must open an Evolution thread on Civ3 Creation Forums or Other Game Forums to discuss topics like “Nok x Benin question”, but I’m so lazy  … Kidding, I’ll do that soon. If people want to know about my game EVOLUTION today, check the official website out: http://evolutiongame.angelfire.com with lots of images and information.
