I need a guide to make a leader.

I would love to try to merge some of the Mod components.. trouble is I have limited spare time, so I doubt I will be able to learn Python to the depths I should.. question then is..

Is there a tutorial or recommended program that can help with merge Python files?
(I am technically inclined, but it has been years since I studied any programming languages).
