alrighty...one I would like to know how good this game really is? I mean is it just another civ knock-off set in space or what?

and along with that what are the system req's?

If it's a game thats not all that great of diff. from civ then *shrugs* but if it's better, I need to know how much I need to up my system XD

If you look a few theads down you'll see "GalCiv vs Civ Comparison" started by the designer of GalCiv2 Brad himself(Draginol). He pretty much covered everything in his thread.
System reqs are pen III 800Mhz , 256mb ram, 32mb graphic card
Recommended Pen4 1.8Ghz ,512mb ram , 128mb graphic card

IMO GalCiv2 AI is better and more interesting than Civ4 AI.

System requirements are less than Civ4.
