You mean Mobilization? If so, thats under the change government option when you get Nationalism. Though I doubt this game will go all the way to the Industrial Ages.;)

Oh, yes, and another tip: Never (unless if you have lots of gold and want to upgrade) build spearmen. They have twice the defense of warriors but they are twice as expensive. So you can have twice as many warriors which keep your people happy, explore and can kill enemy warriors as good as spearmen.

I use spearmen every now and then for defence. I'm not too keen with warriors. And you will see why I use spearmen in this update!!

I am really starting to hate the Arabians. I continue buiilding cities and getting more archers. I just built two cities this turn.

I need wealth that badly because, well, not like those cities will produce much for me, and because I've been doing deal lately, getting to zero gold destroyed my barracks in Kyoto. I want to avoid that.

If you have cities producing wealth at this stage of the game you are doing yourself no favours. Get them off wealth and produce troops, if not troops then workers or settlers. Wealth is one thing I dont believe I have ever had to use. If you are low on cash then adjust the sliders.

I only use wealth when im in the Modern Age after nuclear plants.;)

I was not attacking from a river. I realized that when my archer defeated the first (out of two) spearman, leaving the archer with 1 hp. Then I attacked that stinking spearman.

I usually only use the slider in desperate need. I had my reaserch on 60 or 70% that whole time, and if I slid the hippyness slider I would loss lots of gold. I will begin lowering my scientific rate, since I am going to be in caonstant war soon.

BTW, a good strategy when you are losing cities culturally is to reload a save 1 turn before and raze the city (this assuming that you are making a save each turn. At higher levels it's vital to be able to prevent AI moves).
Also, cities can be prevented from flipping by increasing their garrison. More units = less chance to flip.

It is part of the challenge, otherwise this game would have ended by now. Egyptian and Indian cultural superiority is the only thing that is keeping them alive.

I thought by looking on the map that you had over 50% land area, but I still think you can get to 66% by filling in Egypt's land, but I also believe that the Indians will keep getting cities culturally. Calvary should take care of the Indians if you need to do it.

Oh don't worry if I get to cavs I'll make excelent use of them.:D Ghandi will probably still be using War Elephants as his defense, because he does not have saltpeter (unless that city flips) and he does not have iron so no pikes.

Build some temples in any of your cities that has nearby land not in your territory, it will allow you to get to 66% land area faster.

You have got to be close to the Domination limit now.

BTW, I found your guy, he's a Cavalry now, and I put him in the Knight army. It's cool because when it moves it looks like knights but every time it attacks the cavalry comes out.

Oh, not to argue with players that are obviously better than me (Rik) but if you built temples in your towns it would have gone a lot better for you. The religous trait makes temples really cheap. If you had temples throughout your territory you wouldn't be suffering those bad flips. Bad enough when a captured city flips back, but one of your own flips to them, That Stinks.

I was usually in the process of building temples, and temples don't always work. As you can see somewhere I had a flip on a city with nice culture. It really also depends on the amount of units. And... That doesn't matter anymore, does it? :p

I would last a while at emporer, but it really isn't my hotspot. I'm better doing them on sg's and stuff.
