Prologue

Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi, first emperor of China was about to give his title, or at least his title to the least expected person to continue his dynasty's role.
Emperor Qin: Mao Zedong, I entrust you as my heir to the throne of China. I have lived long enough.
Now, Mao was born in the village of Shao Shan, Hunan province, in 1893.
He was the son of a poor peasant. So it was a great suprise that he was to be the next leader of China.
Mao: Wha... What???
Emperor Qin: You heard me. Is there not only you here? Or perhaps the imperial rug is the new emperor?
Mao: What?? The rug is the new leader of China?
Emperor Qin: No, you are the new leader of China. You have been called upon for this great task. We have instructed you to leave to China's new lands. Your starting location will be important.
Mao: Any special things?
Emperor Qin: Yes. You are a Cheiftain as this mod, Rise and Rule, will test you further as early on, the civs get a head start with techs and military. You are required to win by Wonder, Culture, Domination, or Conquest. Your old opponents in your first session in the mod are back. The Ethopians, the Polynesians, the Incans, and the Vikings. Our people didn't see your play, except me. Now go!
Mao: I will not fail you.
Emperor Qin: You better not or I will disgrace you as the failure of China and George Bush may take over.
Mao: Is he even alive these years?
Emperor Qin: No....................... Awwww. just do what you were told. Also, all victories are enabled........ But you have to win by those above or the score.
Mao:Ok!!!!
Emperor Qin: He'll need help.
In 4000 BC, Mao and about 100 settlers came to a spot.
Settler: Let's settle here! The fresh breeze of the sea and look at this green stuff! It tastes delicious!"
Mao: I'll pass, but I think we'll settle here.
And so, the age of China began.

In Jan. 3925 BC, the council of Xianyang had their first council meeting. :)
Mao: Order! Order!
The council quiets down. Faces grow dark. "Speak!"
"As you know, we have settled here on the coast of the North China Sea. Our capital is Xianyang, not to mention our only city. And now I would like to say, that I will lead us all to greatness!!!!" The council cheers madly and Mao puts his hands up. "Now time for the others to speak!!!"
(Sun Tsu is Military Ad, Shang Lui is Domestic, Huan Di is Culture, Lui Pang is Trade, Datymo is Foreign, and Hsi Huang is Science for now)
"May I speak oh great warlord?" asked Shang Lui.
"Yes you may."
"The capital is growing slowly, yet we should get progress. Our first few citizens are working on the coast, fishing for kelp. This strange food source can provide some sort of food and a building material. Also, we have a hill and a mountain within city range. Rest is flat grass."
"Thank you. Sun Tsu, speak."
"Firstly, our exploration report. We have the Yangzete river to the south, jungles south and west, marshes to the northwest, and forests to the northeast. Next, we should build up our military."
"I will keep that in mind, now Lui Pang"
"We don't have any resource except the kelp. We should get more luxuries and stratigic ones."
"Thank you. Now Huan Di."
"We should get more culture by building monuments."
"Ok.............. Now Hsi Huang. I'm skipping Datymo because he's an idiot.:lol: "

"Our borders expanded!!! Now we have more Chinese land!"

The second meeting took place in the imperial palace.
Mao: I've called you here to report on status. Firstly, Datymo the idiot.

"We have seen a running scout on our borders. Problem is, we can't catch him. He was wearing a brown rag and had a pinkish lining. :sad: "
"Ok, next is Shang Lui."
"We have found a Chinese Wiseman, allowing us to research faster!"
"That's good!" says Mao and Hsi Huang stimoniously. :blush: :blush:
"That will be it for today. You are dismissed"
In Jan. 3475 BC,
"Sir!!!!"
"Yes Datymo?"
"We have made contact with Polynesia!!!! We have traded our Alphabet and Masonry techniques for the secrets of making Boats and Domestication as well as 44 gold!!! Boats will allow us to go out to the North China Sea and Domestication shall let us tame animals!"
"A good deal"
Jan. 3425 BC
Another meeting of the council.

Outside council 0900 hours

"So, Sun Tsu, what do you think of our recent meeting with Polynesia?"
"May our Warlord build Jomon Warriors to protect us. Add Tribal Guardsmen too. That sums it up Datymo"

Inside Council 0925 hours

"Hsi Huang has good news for us" stated Warlord Mao. "I will let him speak"
"Thank you honourable Warlord. As you know, we have been working on Scrape Mining. We have finally finished! We can now build forges that will make production better! We have the metals needed for the forge to make weapons."
"Excellent Hsi!" yelled Shang Lui and Mao.
"Thank you. We are now reseaching something secret. But I'm sure Sun Tsu will like it."
"Is it a way to get a hot looking girl?"
"You are one little *****........ Of course not!!!! It's a surprise."
"Awwww man......."
"Shut up." said Lui Pang.

"Greetings Kamehameha. We have a good deal for you."
"And what deal is this Datymo?"
"Hsi will explain"
"I have brought you the secrets of Scrape Mining, for the techniques of Warfare and 14 yuan of gold."
"I can arrange that"
"We added all that to our treasury and knowledge."

"Yes, my scientists are working on a religious activity called Ritualism. It will allow us to build 'Shrines'"

Not sure who one piece is, but I'd kinda like to see those anime characters used as part of your narrative... perhaps the Chinese emperor's elite guard.
