Term 1 (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=151676)

First, I need a deputy since I will be gone from April 5th-8th.

Second, I don't want to make any decisions. I simply want to be the person the helps facilitate descussion, and lets the citizens' voice be heard. If you feel there is something we need to discuss that I may have missed, please let me know right away. Or start the discussion thread yourself.

Here is my thread for "The Gate". There is a section in our CoL's that discusses setting up a Governor's council. Any thoughts on this topic? Seems to make sense to me. Micalin's Gate (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=3876886#post3876886)

Honorable MoI
The War Department would like you to formally request our governors to build units. Library's and theatres are fine but not if we have to defend ourselves with actors dressed as soldiers using books as their weapons.

The War department would like each city to be protected by a pair of properly trained and promoted archers. The front line cities will also be protected by spearman and axmen. In addition we request at least 3 more War Chariots, at least 4 more axman, and at least 8 swordsman . Our great country is very weak and our defenses are spread thin. At present we will not live through a determined an attack.

I think the Governors council needs to get set up right away. It is now located here. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=165443)

Mr. Secretary, I have initiated a discussion (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=3877775#post3877775) for your proposal. I shall honor what the Assembly wants

Mr. Minister,

I believe that it is your responsibility to select a governor for the newly founded "City #4". I'm not sure what the official process is, I just wanted to bring this to your attention.

Thanks,
Sigma

EDIT: You beat me to it in the Governor's Council thread. Thanks anyway. ;)

I'd like to suggest we not follow the road building plan as shown in the current instructions, and instead use non-jungle non-forest tiles as much as possible. The road will finish faster that way, and it will be easier to defend if it's a little further away from the barbarian threat.

I laid that road so that City 5 is linked up right away. We'll talk about it more after this next turnchat.

Hmm, now that City 5 is broken, here is my new highway proposal:

I request no more spearman be constructed after the one in BW is complete. The Mongoians DONOT have horses and now ax men and swords become a priority, with Swords being more important.

A force of 1 more chariot, at least 4 to 6 swords is needed to begin a limited war against Mongolia in the next few turns. I estimate that we will be at war within 15 to 20 turns based on the desire to attack when their city reaches size 2.

Thanks for you attention to this urgent matter.

Sorry about that. I wasn't clear that the road should be finished, but then again half of my orders weren't caried out anyway.

MoI

I hereby request that all cities currently building military continue to at least finish their current build. Based on my estimates we will have enough troops and in the correct position for an attack on the three cities laid out in my War plans thread.

As for future builds..I suggest that Aybdos conitnue building axes or swords to replace war loss and provide for defense in case the war goes bad. I also suggest that either BW or MG also produce units. City 5 and Toot cannot produce units for this war due to ther low production. City 5 is building a spear...might I suggest that be change a building since it will have an archer to garrison it soon.( on its way now--so to speak)

Check my war plan thread for other info or PM me/post in my SoW thread.

MoI GeorgeOP,
I have some concerns over the building of a cottage on the plains tile at Mic's Gate. I can't see this tile being used at Mic's Gate anytime in the future. I can understand if you'd like to finish the road the worker is building but I'd appreciate at least one of the grassland forest tiles be chopped and a cottage built.

This will finish the worker faster and likely be timed to make a swordsman afterwards. The worker that finishes in Mic's Gate can be used for other purposes if I can keep the worker that's at Mic's Gate for chopping and roading.

Though I don't like chopping pre-math, I think both grassland forest tiles (1S and 2S) should be chopped for cottages to help our research with the library.
