I am really starting to get bored with the map scripts the firaxis gave us. I like continents as I find it very varried but I hate how there is so much desert, tundra and ice. If someone could make a map script just like continents but with, half as much desert, tundra and ice, and with a few more small islands scattered around i would very grateful.

It doesn't generate land exactly like continents, but it can come pretty close. If it can't do what you want, I'd be interested to know why.

In particular, on smartmap, I would do a 4-12 continent map, on tropical, with 'some' land fragments, and I would think that would come pretty close to what you said you wanted.

OMG so many options. I will try this when I start my new game.
