Anywho, i seem to have misplaced my serial before i registered my game and well, need it to download the patches. I was just wondering, what i can do besides go out and buy a second copy of the game. I didnt regiter the game before i lost my serial so i cant have them email it to me. but i really want that patch. So, anybody have any idea what i can do?

I don't see anything you can do. It would be like with a regular game if you lost your game CD.

Try really hard to find the serial number would be all I could suggest. :(

Can I download a patch from one computer and then burn it to a CD, and put it on to another?

The reason I ask is because I only have dial-up INTERNET with a two hour limit for a connection (it's free, through a university), so I always have my wife download my patches for me (she works for that same university). I believe this Stardock program is the only copyright protection GalCiv2 has, but I can't download anything bigger then about 24 megs. I really love this game (Demo) and want to be able to update it.

Just save the patch (25.1 mb btw) and you can run it on any machine you have GalCiv2 loaded on.

Now I really can't wait to buy this game,:crazyeye: I was worried I wouldn't be able to update it, It appears that Stardock releases a lot of content for their games after release and I didn't want to miss out!!

who do you contact to get them to email the serial number if you registered?

It should be on the galciv site. Something like 'lost serial' or of that sort

If you registered the game you can simply to to http://support.stardock.com and enter your e-mail address. You will receive an e-mail with all your registered products.
