Heres the problem though. I have no need for your wood (under our current economy) because no where does it say I need any materials to build a house.

If everyone approves the current amendment to the banks lawset (which so far doesn't look like it's going to well) I would release my idea about the economy, where certain things made need certain materials to make them.

I need a business place building built for my Butcher's Shop (which I posted in the wrong forum, sorry, and is being moved by a moderator as we speak.)

Ice I need a price on a building. Its a shop with a dividing wall..with a large door in the wall...not really 2 separate buildings. In addition, my house will be attached to one "half" of the shop. Can you give me a price workup.

If its unclear I can draw you a picture of the floor plan.

I think I know what you mean, but if I can get a floorplan, that would help me get you a price. Don't worry, I won't charge you a lot.

I also need a price. I need a smithery. I don't need a store front or anything like that, but just a small place by the river. It needs a fire pit to help with the metalworking. I own space 8L. Make sure you place it near the river, for I will need to bring water in daily to cool the metal with and to put out the fire at the end of the day. And let me know how much it is to add a two room apartment adjacant to the smith. I might want to add that.

Hmm, I have been meaning to buy a temple to spread the the word of Jesus, but unfortunately, Theology has not been discovered yet :(.

Well George, I'll charge you 275 for the smithery, considering it will take some time to build that fire hole, and I'll have to try and level the house with metal rods since it will be right off of the river. But I'll only charge you 125 for the 2 room apartment.

Allright, total cost there is 400 Gold. Your lovely smithery and apartment is being built.

Got your floor plans Rob. Let me lay out the cost broken down.
The shop will be 250 Gold. (although I was originally going to charge 300)
The house will be 150 Gold.
The vertical dual fireplaces will be a total of 100 Gold.
Your total cost for the whole thing will be 500 Gold.

Also, the second business I was going to open was a boat busienss, because the rules state that I can sell items one technology advanced (sailing), however I might wait until we research the compass. I'm now trying to think of a business that will be profitable and attract business, that maybe isn't large goods.

can't you change what you're offering every time we advance in technology (like your boat store can sell ironclad when we're close to researching it)

Yes, but I'm not doing the boat store thing anymore. I'm going to check up on our techs and see if there's any other type of buildings to offer. Suggestions will be considered, but remember all prices are rough prices and can always be negotiated, seeing most of th customer's special order.
