Maps of what we can see...I think its a lake to our East. Also clams are located to the NW near a river mouth. Future city site?

Here is our city. I left it for growth instead of production or commerce. I could not find any orders about that.

Here is the tech situation..I dont know why but I figured it would be nice to have.

Next turn we should move the scout onto the hill, north north east of where it is now.

Think we should leave it on food until we get to size 2, switch to worker and switch to both of the forests or maybe one to pig, cant remember if that gives anymore production unworked. that way we can get the worker out in about twenty turns and be able to work that rice.

We wont really have much to do till about turn 8 though, cept exploring.

I think we might want to wait till we get a warrior before going worker...I really like getting to see whats South of us. After we get the warrior then we go worker....xxx.... settler at size 3.

I agree on hill then if nothing interesting head a bit towards that river mouth to see if its flood plains.

Well with the rice and pigs i just feel we should work them as soon as possible.

Just so you know, this title is sort of misleading because it is still Turn 1 (3960 BC), which is why I created that other thread for you. :) No problems, just make sure to create another "Turn 2, 3920 BC" thread for next turn!

Think we should leave it on food until we get to size 2, switch to worker and switch to both of the forests or maybe one to pigDon't hammers and food work the same when building Workers, so it's mute about what to work while building them (as long as it's a space with three production).

What do other people think, build Worker once we grow to two or after the Warrior?

Wait till we grow to size two. That's a no brainer really. You might start the worker a few turns earlier by building it straight away, but it will take you twise as long.

Robboo was talking about waiting until after the Warrior was done. I don't think anyone wants to build the Worker now.

Basically, Aloha will grow to size two in eight turns and it will finish it's Warrior in twelve turns (or fifteen turns if we want to work the other side of the river and make 7 commerce). So the question is when do we start the Warrior, turn 8, turn 12, or turn 15 (and work the other side of the river and not a forest)?

Right I was saying wait till we get the warriorto switch. At Size 2 switch to working a forest along with the rice to reduce the warrior build to a total of 10 turns( 2 turns past size 2)

Then work the rice and pigs when building the worker...those are our most productive tiles for making a worker the fastest. Then swich to something else as a placeholder( warrior, barracks, ??) while we grow to size three and build a settler.

One reason for the warrior is to scout south a bit and see if there is a better city site for the settler..I wouldnt send him far since he needs to be around for escort duty if we want to escort our settler.

we have a while to debate this and opportunities might presnt themselves to change our plans

Oh yer my mistake, food and hammers are the same when building workers :)

I just feel that maybe exploring south isnt as much of a need as getting that worker out, we can always switch back to warrior if when our borders expand we see anything amazing.

As long as we get the warrior done before the settler and can explore south at least a city away. :) I am always late for producing my first worker...keep that in mind.

I think we need to get the worker out as soon as possible unless our scout spots another civ in which case we'll need a defence

well we've had the save for 4 hours now, think we should just explore however you feel like whoevers playing the save so long as we make as much ground as possible :)

Yeah a little chatting just to keep interest but there is nothing really to discuss yet.

At this rate we will have elections next week!

Which is cool, because then someone can run for the Interior Chairman. To anyone that doesnt' have a job: I only took this one because it was empty. You can have it next term if you want it.
