1st of July would be excellent (me birthday) but I just don't see it happening. Seems like M:TW2 was too recently announced for it to be released that early. And that's a summer launch, which is traditionally an exceptionally dry time for games.

Nono, let's release EVERY game near Christmas. Every single one, and hope it gets through.

Either 1st of July or X-mas would be perfect for me, just as long as it doesn't come at at the beginning of autumn term.

To be fair the total war series has high awareness and is an ideal Christmas game.

Oh I know that. My problem is that a LOT of games get released in time for Christmas and can't possibly compete with the likes of multiple Total Wars or AoE. And it makes it even more frustrating that summertime is usually a 'drought' time for game releases, when if you think about it is silly, as summer is a perfect time to laze back and play games.

Edit: @Diablo' - Aye, me birthday is July 1st
