hi
I couldn't play the big one for shi...! so i made my first scenario, during a few days of complete stoning. I used the 64x40 Non Radical Earth map for a base, but made many additions, wiped resources for new ones and filled in various nations/empires as relevant to both 19th and 20th century. i study history so this was a thrill for me, even if you take better to the larger XXC2 scenario for its higher realism of city placement etc.. for the 64x40 it's a mix really. it is just designed to play fair for all players, including europeans who get their overseas empires + starting navies.. religions should play off against eachother in a good way. not only is this a good quick combat ready scenario for a great mod, but maybe with some changes it would be ideal for mp? suggestions pls!
This would be first version so please let me know what you think. All resources are available (no stupid forgets) and although many might aruge some are in a funny place.. But if there are good suggestions I would be happy to release a refined one if the interest is there!!
Thanks
AndyTerry Apr 28, 2006, 12:02 PM I'm glad :)
Good job :goodjob:
tenkk Apr 28, 2006, 12:54 PM thanks andy :)
I already released 2nd vers.. there some issues in original:

Please go ahead, i will never be able to play a Full Large Map, even with my Brother's PC (AthlonXP3400+ 6800GT256 and 2gb RAM, i still get LAG on Large Maps... i think it's the Games Engine the problems (in my opinion) nothing is perfect. So go ahead and work as many version as you like, i'll be the first to download it and play it. :goodjob:
AndyTerry Apr 30, 2006, 05:16 AM I've tested this scenario. Everything is OK, except city names, which are, ehm, very strange, especially in big countries, such as the USA or Soviet Union. Eg: Tbilisi, Riga and Gorkiy are in the Far East; New Orlean is in the West of USA; Boston is on the Notrh of it; Quebec City is in Alaska, and so on. Why don't you rename such cities using map or something?
jojoweb Apr 30, 2006, 05:25 AM Hum hum, good idea, but the link is broken. The site tell me : 403 Forbidden. Dn't you have a simple web space ?
Connery Apr 30, 2006, 06:08 AM Yup, can't download the map, try uploading it to rapidshare or similar.
AndyTerry Apr 30, 2006, 08:57 AM Strange, it works for me
Connery Apr 30, 2006, 10:08 AM Yeah, seems to be working fine now, must have been the site.
Cheers ;)
jojoweb Apr 30, 2006, 12:40 PM Yeah it works now ^_^.
Connery Apr 30, 2006, 12:48 PM On another note, when I start this map I only have three available civs: Indian Republic, United States and Chinese People's Republic...

Heh, I guess you try to launch it through the usual game :) This map is for my XX Century Mod 2.
tenkk Apr 30, 2006, 02:04 PM For some nations I just automated city names..
Atm notice italian capital is in africa.. this is a mistake
otherwise i had a good game until 1948 as UK. the biggest issue is Automobiles, which map almost the whole of eurasia crossable with railways.

Which in turn only runs with patch 1.6.... which i'm not going to install. Thanks anyway. ;)
Connery Apr 30, 2006, 07:18 PM WEll, i've actually went and updated to patch 1.61 ( ;) ) but just one question: this map shows up as HUGE.... wasn't it supposed to be Small?
tenkk May 01, 2006, 10:30 AM this question on the size is always asked in 64x40 threads.. i dunno what the heck is wrong with civ but it is definately 64x40 and definately small by consequence.
as for not patching.. i dunno maybe the community should change towards the updates, rather than vice-versa. vice-versa is expecting something for nothing, from a multinational corporation. the more maps and mods released after patch or updated to work with it the better.. it gets the train going IMO :)
jojoweb May 01, 2006, 12:49 PM Good map ! A little bit bigger for my computer, but good.
vicentiko Oct 04, 2006, 12:07 PM The Request File not Found, is the link broken?
ngyuishing Feb 05, 2009, 09:15 AM The link does not work now. I will be very happy if someone can repost it. Thanks.
