Here is my start pattern, if someone could read it and tell me if i should do something diferent that would be kewlz.

When i start the game i build one worker ( teck mineing/bronze) and chop a tree and get 2 warriors in a row ( off of one tree usualy) then i put my first warrior to defend my city then i bring the other warrior over to where i plan to expand my next city ( which i scouted with my starting scout) i next build a settaler in my city and chop 2 trees to get him out fast, and go and build my next city. I then start building a worker in my new city and in my capital i build a barracks. Once my barracks is done i build two archers in a row put one on defense and then the other one to my next expansion point, and then i build a settaler next (choping trees) and expand again.

Not all bad. Build your next city where copper is and hook up with it sooner rather than later. Consider building axemen instead of archers and you'll be better placed to deal with barbs and other civs if you fancy a pop at them. This also allows you to build barracks at a later time allowing possible time to build a wonder. You can 'train' axes on animals and barbs. Half a dozen axes can take an enemy city quite early in the game, crop rush them if you like for a better advantage. The best form of defense is offense.

If you have copper, go for Pottery + Writing next, instead of Archery. You don't need archers if you have copper. Produce axes for barbarian defense and/or mass produce them to conquer your nearest rival.

How much of a mass produce do you think i should go, i just played a game and i attacked napolion with about 6 axe men ( all came from placed with raxes) and i lost ageanst on of this cities, problem was he had about 4 guys there and they where well dug in. What do you think would be a good number before the attack. And should i teck up to catapults faster so i can maybe get a few of those? i bet if i got a army of 7 axe men with city attack promos and 2 catapults that would work well early age.

What level are you playing?

Waiting for catapults is too long, unless you're playing below Monarch, then I can't really answer that. On Emperor if you have copper, it's best (my opinion) to immediately build about 10 axes and attack fast, marching them straight to the enemy capital. Continue building axes until you have "enough" cities, which is relative to the level you play on. Three is usually enough for me on Emperor, any more than that and I'm flat broke.

A good general rule is that if you don't have twice the number of axes as there are defenders, you don't have enough. Assume the first axe dies, wounding the archer in the process, and the second will win.

But to research pottery and writing is important so you can put in some libraries right after the war, and use scientist specialists and/or cottages depending on the land you've grabbed. Your science slider will drop with the city maintenance and all those units to support.
