In the previous discussion about next research we got some agreement on agriculture, but I think we overlooked the option of fishing to get +2 commerce from working tiles on the lake. If you think this is a better idea, please post here. Unlike Civ3, we can change research without losing anything, but if we decide to change, the earlier the better to get more leverage.

The reasons for researching Fishing first are good and I'm actually convinced now that will be better than agriculture. Early commerce is crucial in this position.
