Here is a scenario and map of the Suikoden World.. It is not perfect, but it is better than nothing..

I'll make extensive changes later once Civ:Warlords is released... Try to play this map on a high difficulty level, as it is pretty fun all of the way through..

Most--not all--of the nations are represented and are somewhat balanced in my opinion.. The world itself is pretty large... cities and towns are already positioned and building things.. feel free to modify or distribute this as you feel necessary...contact me with questions.

Thanks,

Tod

Hi,

I designed, but have not yet released, a Suikoden world map and limited scenario for Civilization 4; however, I need a little imaginative assistance from folks who are more imaginative and well-informed about the Suikoden world than I.

Finding town names, etc. for towns in areas like the Zexen, Toran, etc. have already been found and included due to great geographic and historical information found on this site and others..

However, when it comes to these areas, listed below, I am either not sure or need imaginative assistance:

http://www.theirstar.com/images/atlas/wm_pol_lrg.jpg

Holy Kingdom of Harmonia [The capital is Crystal Valley, but there are very few towns mentioned--need town names, estimated population count, etc.].

New Armes Kingdom [Not much mentioned, need a capital city name and a few towns, estimated pop. count, etc.].

Tinto [needs a few more town names, etc.]

Gaien Dukedom [needs capital and town names, and other info]

Nagarea Theocracy [needs capital and town names, and other imaginative info]

Zexen [needs a few more towns]

Kanakan [capital and town names, and other imaginative info]

Zelant Kingdom [capital and town names, and other imaginative info]

Nameless lands and Camaro free knights [may need a few things]

The Western Cont. [I am not sure if I should leave this unoccupied or... suggestions?]

All the above information is needed for scenario playability's sake and balance.. leader names, and graphics are always appreciated as well.. thanks for lending a hand...

Cheers,

Tod

This sounds great.

But I demand you add Hero Units like Jowy, Georg, McDhol, Luca, Luc etc.

:D

What is Suikoden? It sounds Japanese.

It's a japanese Roleplaying game like, Final Fantasy, only better *coughs* okay, that's only my personal opinion ;)

@valiant did you asked over at ww.suikosource.com for help?

By the way i think, firstly a small scenario only of the 'old' continents (Suikoden 1 - 3) would be enough.

*hopes that suikoden V is soon released in europe :/ *

I can only have Suikoden 1 and 2. But I love this game.

Good thing, those are the two best of the series...

Actually, V is quite good, you should play that. But stay away from III, IV.

Well, there's not much to say to that. The whole scenario - as well as the map - obviously needs quite a bit of revisioning (Pana Yukata nowhere near the Great Forest? Higheast in the middle of forested hills? Karaya Village somewhere in what seems to be the middle of Harmonia?), but I love some of the things you've done with the map, like using coasts to represent major rivers, seeing as how river travel is pretty damn important in the Suikoverse. There's also the positioning of Falena - while incorrect cannon-wise, it'd probably work best ingame this way - and 'merging' the eastern and western continents. Not a theory I personally follow, but it works. The leaders, too, obviously need some changes... although it all depends on where exactly you want to place the scenario. Some of the nations you gave generic leadernames actually have cannon leaders (such as Armes' King Jalat. And where did Lucas of Harmonia come from?). Also, I'd suggest using static portraits from the game art instead of default CivIV leaderheads.

Phew. Bottom line: I'll be keeping an eye out for this scenario once Warlords is released and will probably have plenty of comments and critisism to aid you. :p
