View Full Version : How To Select Civs?

In order to get some discussion going, here's a topic at the UN that'll need our attention:

Every team needs a civ to play with. Not all civs are equally powerful and not all civs use the same strategy. And in case of same civs; different leaders make different games as well.
It is foreseeable that several teams prefer the same civ.

How are the civs to be distributed ?

1 - every team gets the civ / leader it wants, even if it means multiple teams in 1 game play the same civ / leader
2 - randomly assigned
3 - each team has a list of preffered civs; admins decide civ-allocation and leader/allocation based on preference
4 - other selection method

3 is best, although option 2 would be interesting.

Considering that we have already done option three, I think we should go for option three. I would hate to do all that work for nothing.

Option 3, as that allows multiple potential Civs and allows more people to be satisfied.
