Howdy everyone, I'm running a friendly pitboss game thats moving at a rapid clip until the last few days. One of my players has suddenly started tech trading and insists it can only be done when both people are online at the same time.

I thought the whole point of the pitboss server (and I assume this would work in PBEM) was that you could do you turn and then log off and not have to be online?

So the question is..

When doing trades for Open Borders, techs etc.. do both players have to be online? Or do you initiate your trade, and log off, the other player then logs on and is presented by the diplomacy dialog?

From what I read when searching the forum it's supposed to be the later.

Yes, that's correct...it should be the latter.

It's a bit funky how it works though. There isn't an "accept offer" button or anything like that when the dialog pops up for the other player. Instead, you review the offer and then hit "send offer" or whatever the text is. As long as both sides have sent the offer it is a done deal.
