OK, since trying to manage this via private email has not proven to be successful, I thought I'd try this.

Who has the last save? Where is this game right now?

Players were:

pirasanta
Zukov
SirMasterBlue
Pennywise_30
Grizzle
Wrangler89
Gnarfflinger
and me of course.

Check your personal emails for alist of everyone's email addresses if need be.

OK, loads of time, no resaponse from her, I guess I'm starting the game over, without her.

Look for the save sometime today, and whoever gets it, please post here.

OK, I redid the game, tookmy turn and sent the save through the game to gnarfflinger - let me know if you did not receive it and I'll send it manually. I'm wondering if that might be part of the problem...

I'm still interested. I don't drop games. There are a few I don't admit to being in, but I still play out my turns...

Here we go again, here is the order. Please, please trry to play within a couple of days of receiving teh save, 24 hours is nice. If the turn doesn't move within 3 days, I will try to use the admin password to play on behalf of the mising player so as to keep the game moving.

If you know you are going to be gone, please let me know, so we can work around you.

If I have to take a turn for someone, I will simply load the save and click the red button, I will not look at anything, change anything, or moe anything not on an auto move. Thats as fair as I can be.

The foundation stones of Athens have been relaid.

Our scouts fan out into the darkness....

I noticed that both nutcracker and I are down as Alexander.... But I just founded Athens....

That's odd, I didn't think the computer would do that...we may have to restart yet again, depending on if it gives er a problem or not...

OK, Mystery solved...

I messed up in my post when I listed everyone, I listed nutcracker as Alexander as well as Zukov, but when I created the game, I did it correctly, with nutcracker as America, as per her original request.

Sorry for the confusion everyone.

Don't mean to hijack the thread here, but I am just curious as to how long a game like this takes. Do these games last years, with a single turn (for all players) taking more than a week to complete? What are the advantages to playing like this? Do you folks also play marathon session in other types of MP games or perhaps SP? I tend to not be able to stop (just one more turn, for sure!) when i play SP, and it seems like it would be difficult to keep focus on the game if my turns came once per week.

Again, sorry to interrupt, but blue seems patient, so I thought asking here might work out.

In Civ III, I sae one scenario that was practically over in a couple months. I won one that took about 4 months or so...

Turn speed depends on the players. I've seen games where I get the turn one night, play it the next day, send it that night, and it's back the next night. Other games you're lucky to see one per week...

not so much patient, as dissapointed, frustrated and resigned that this just doesn't seem to work.

Like you, when SirMasterBlue and I play simultaneous turns, we tend to play for days on end until we fall asleep at the ouse. I had hopes that everyone would play once a day or occassionally take two days and this might work, but it just doesn't seem to work that way.

I'm still pretty new at this, but it seems to work better with only a few human players. With each new human it just takes longer to get through a turn and the chances of getting stuck increase.
