After commenting on the other BOTF game, Cornmaster got my AIM name. He is playing Palehorse in some massive and quite epic like game, but we also started one. It should be short, small galaxy, starting tech levels 5. We are only around turn 10 or so, but here is a status report of the situation from Romulan channels.

The empire's current space is small, consisting of three primary planets. A colony Galan has been founded. Next to the colony lie a species known as a sheliak. Our main battlefleet of the Battle Cruiser Red Talon and the Destroyer Shrike have eliminated the Sheliak raider vessel. The sheliak planet is defenseless, and soon assault transports shall arrive to seize the planet. Another Colony ship is en route to terraform the rest of the system for Romulan expansion.

Foreign relations have proceeded with typical cunning. Non-aggression treaties have been signed with Federation, Ferengi, and Klingons. The fools have now given us time to build a battle fleet. An alliance was signed with the Cardassians, as apparently the Cardassian Gul and the Praetor waste their time at the same internet site. The Cardassians have just begun an invasion of Klingon space. We shall lend aid by releasing our sabateurs for some much needed practice in the arts of espionage (hopefully stealing some of those nice ships).

Next time I'll post a map, and hopefully have something more thrilling to post, instead of just what happened in 10 turns.

um, did we happen to post in the wrong forum Pinky? Other Civ-Related Sites isn't quite where I would expect something of this topic to be.

Moved to correct forum.

CornBastard....;), is just afraid of the mighty UFP! I have 3 times the research power of him and he doesn't like the fact that this is only my 5th or so BotF game....ever.

You may have luck, and more colonies.....but you lack experience....

Since the plan is to win via Alliance, I won't have a chance to crush your Navy, maybe in the next game...

That's right....win by Alliance ;)

But remember we said we would save the trun before and then duke it out after we won? Then we will see who's empire is the strongest!

That's not a test of the empire...it's a test of the Navy.

In which none can defeat the RSE!!

There are some that would say that the strength of the Navy is a direct reflection of your empire. The stronger your empire, the stronger Navy it can support.

That is true....but the value of a Captians experience can be more valuable than TEN ships.

And no facility trains as well as the Romulan Naval Training Academy. :)

Ok...now I'm reaching....time for this to stop.

I've got a demo game to run in the morning :crazyeyes

Night!

Well, did you and Pinky ever finish the game you were playing? Unfortunately it seems like we will never find out who's navy would win.
