Goals for this term
Get happiness and health increased so our population can grow. We can do this by trading extra resources such as wheat and clams for other resources.

Design a longer term foriegn relations plan for our continet to ensure we have an alley if one of the other two civs decide to attack us.

I'm sure you know this, but I'm pointing this out to everyone else.

Both Russia and Germany have Horseback Riding and are willing to trade them. Germany also has both Stone and Silver available to trade and we have ?Clams? available to trade back. I did not see what it would take to make a trade, just things I observed while updating the DoI page.

horseback kills our UU so we migth wait but maybe now would be OK.. I am waiting for teh last TC of term 5
but otherwise I will check on the other things...earlier they would not trade.

Given that we have conquered Mongolia, maybe we don't need to worry too much about our UU. The only war I can forsee fighting in the short term is a defensive one and I would have thought archers and axes would be more useful.

This is one of your orders. I need to answer before I save and stop. What should the answer be? (I hope I never have to use your answer, but it's better to be prepared.)

I meant to fight a war on their side....and that will be answered with the relations question.

Declaring War is not in the power of the Secretary of State.

If another civ asks us to enter a war on their side, you MUST say no. Declaration of War requires a vote of the Citizens Assembly.

OK thanks Sigma....Clarification is great. I Hope you see how it can be confusing..it says in the CoL reponsible for declaring war with citizens approval.

We may need to get that changed in the CoL...because even if we vote yes it will hurt our diplo with that civ. I wonder if it would be possible to have a standing order in a Term where the citizens vote to say"yes we will fight with country x over country Y". There is a chancethis will come up in this game.

Secretary Robboo if we can convince the citizens there's an opportunity to capture 40g and calendar (we have incense that's not hooked up) for polytheism and alphabet. This would allow us to increase our research rate and get it a turn or two faster for a possible monopoly tech in metal casting.

What do you think about this?

I will look at it. I believe the time has come to trade alphabet and will check the save( beeen busy thsi weekend) adn get our censor to post a poll so we can get the citizens to approve the trade. I will snip your argument adn post it with the poll.

Give in to Russian demands to stop trading with Germany.
Do not give into any other demands for gold or tech.

Do you expect Russia to demand such, or are you just putting the instruction out there just in case?

that my standard just in case orders.....to account for all posiblities.

We discussed this a few TCs ago ( last term ) that we need these types of orders in order o account for teh demands that MAY come. We are currently trading resources to both Russia and Germany so it helps to pick a favorite.
