Right now the Golden Wood gives -1 gold per unhealthy person in the city. In large cities this can be a significant negative hit. The worst part is that it doesn't effect the gold counter so the coutner simply looks wrong when it says they will gain 7 gold per turn and in fact they lose 2 (for example).

But even if we fixed the counter I dont know that its a good idea to have a building that can swing the amount so much.

Here are the buildings as they exist today:

+The Golden Wood (concept: open, elegant)
[tab]+25% culture
[tab]+1 trade routes
[tab]+1 great artist
[tab]-1 Gold per unhealthiness point
[tab]-25% city defense

+The Shadowed Vale (concept: closed, mystical)
[tab]Triple the chance of generating Treants
[tab]+1 great sage
[tab]-1 trade routes
[tab]-25% culture

They all look good except for the -1 gold ability. Anyone have any suggestion to replace it, or should we just cut it and leave the -25% city defense as the negative?

Maybe change it to -1 great person point per unhealthiness?

Hmm one Problem is that you get 1 Unhealthiness per Population anyway. Or is it final unhealthiness?

I'd get rid of it altogether. You don't need another negative onto that building IMO. Even if it showed up in the gold counter I'd never build it in larger cities.

Its every point of unhealthiness, which was why it was so impacting.

Oh then definetly take away the negative gold.

Okay, the effect has been removed.

Verily, the Wood Elf speaks the truth.
