Quick question: does anyone know if mods work with the Mac version of the game?

The vast majority should. A few SDK mods might use windows only functions but I doupt it.
I think that the SDK is the same for windows and mac and its only the .exe which changes. Can someone confirm this?

There will be - set to release June 30th or something like that. They have info on the civfanatics main page.

Some core functions are OS specific, and there may be occasions where a python or SDK mod might use these functions. Naturally, this means that they probably won't work on a mac.

I'd guess most of them will be alright.

I probably buy it once it comes out and try some mods on my Mac. It'll be interesting to see which ones will work.

The Mac is more powerful than my PC (can't play anything larger than Standard right now). So I can play large games on my Mac and mods on my PC. ;)

No, it won't, as far as I'm aware. But once the Mac version of the game comes out, I can buy that and use it in my Apple.
