How do you create a link so that only a single post within a thread is linked to?

In the top right hand corner of every post is its number (eg #1 in the case of yours in this thread). Click on that and it opens in a page of its own. Copy the URL of this page and link to it in the normal way.

click on the number in the far right of your screen... for instance, your post has a #1 just below the "Search this Thread" toolbox. When you click it, you get to the "wiev single post"-screen :)

EDIT: Cross-post with plotinus

Gentlemen:
Thank you very much.
I knew it had to be something simple.

Should´nt you have posted it in "Feedback"?

Some people "live" in this forum so it would be no use posting in feedback since they never leave. :D

You mean there are other forums at CFC?! :wow:
;)

You can get the link quicker by right-clicking on the post number and then "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" or whatever your browser says.

Other forums at CFC? yeah, it apparently seems there are. a guy from real-life-land (I´ve not been there in the last 8 or so years) says there are. Strange, isn´t it?

Some times I think I'm back in the good 'ole days, so I click the first Creation and Customization link I see and I end up in thei wierd place with people who I've never heard of posting wierd looking M-Units and blathering on about code or something. Then, I realize I'm in the Civ4 forum.

That's why I subscribed to Civ3 C&C so that it appears directly in my User CP. I don't even have to waste my time looking past those other forums. ;)

I did a better thing. I put c3 c&c up in my mozilla firefox window :)
