I sometimes wonder if we should have a "Civ-Mac" forum, with Civ3 and Civ4 forums under it. :hmm:

I was thinking more along the lines of an entirely new website. You know, something special. :D

Uh,...I'm talking about CFC. A sister CFC site DEDICATED to Civ-Mac. :)

I don't see the point. The only special issues to discuss are hardware/software compatibility and performance, and the occasional platform-specific features such as keyboard shortcuts, mod-related software etc. The whole objective is for the software to be as compatible as possible with the Windows versions, so there should be no point in having separate modding, SGs, competitions and so on. Those would all come from the existing forums. And Boot Camp is going to blur the edges between the platforms even further.

A separate forum for Mac Civ4? Yes - watch this space.

A separate website with its own management and support resources? I don't think so.

I suggest that the existing Civ4 threads be moved to the new forum. :)

My opinion is that the more integrated the Mac player community remains with the Windows player community, the better it is for the Mac community. Most people use PCs, and we want them to know us, love us, and share their stuff with us. If the two communities get divorced, the Mac users will be the losers.
