It's time (actually past time) for the Term 2 (turns 30-59 ) nominations.

I'm not hung up on the list of official positions matching exactly with the "team rules", unless someone else wants to go legal we can just go with the flow.

Here are the types of positions we need:

Turn Player
Settlement Location
Research
Foreign Relations, once we find someone
Production

Let's call these positions

President (or other leader title)
Domestic
Science
Foreign
Infrastructure Nominations are now open and will last for 3 turns. We'll decide on how to handle elections after we see what nominations are accepted.

I'd like to get involved and take a position. I have no preference. ;)

Are we re-electing UN rep at this time as well or is that on a different cycle?

I'll nominate DaveSchack for President.

I might also nominate myself for something, but I'll just have to think about which position. Besides I already hold the UN rep office, so if anyone wants to hold a position I'll let them come first.

And I agree with the positions proposed. It seems like what we need at the moment (I suggest waiting until next term with a military position).

Are we re-electing UN rep at this time as well or is that on a different cycle?
Un rep election is every 50 turns, so I will be holding the position for at least another 20 turns. ;)

If no one minds, I'd like to continue my post as Foreign Minister, and hopefully, we'll meet some other nations this term. We can't be the only nation on this rock!

DaveShack for the President! I second on Veera continuing as Foreign Minister. I'm not too active but i'm up for Domestic Advisor/Minister. If it's all about thinking about settlement placing it sounds cool.

I'm already Minister of Science in the normal demogame, so I don't mind doing it here too.

So that leaves Infrastructure as the remaining position with no firm candidates. We can leave this open a bit to see if anyone wants to contest one of the early bird volunteers. :) Everyone but the Foreign Minister would have an immediate assignment.

While we don't need a general right now, we do need to balance our techs and builds. Going way down a peaceful builder path in a PBEM works if the first people you find are also peaceful, but I found out the hard way in the pitboss game that if your first contact has more than warriors and you don't even have the tech, you're screwed big time.

I'm up for infrastructure. That's actually what I was thinking of specifically applying for anyway. :)

We've had five days for nominations now and it doens't seem anybody else besides those already nominated want a position. Shouldn't we just declare the nominees holders of their respective offices from turn 31 to turn 60? :)

Yes, all the volunteers are unopposed and may now assume their official duties. :D

Question Dave: Obviously Infrastructure (my position) would be in charge of citizens and build queues. What about workers? Would it be in my position or in domestic?

Wake up everyone, we've made contact!
