The discussions on several votes have raised the question whether settings can be different on the two preliminary games. Let's nail this one down so we can get closure on the other votes.
Do we want to force game one and game two to have the same settings, such as barb level and map size/fomation?

it might decrease the time taken for the game to get going if we can get our one off sooner-otherwise i dont see the point and ill just vote along with everyone else :)

I think they should be independant. the only thig that matters in the results within the games right? there isn't going to be a comparison between them? So why should we stop teams from having fun?

different settings are fine with me, anyway the reason this was brought up was because one game had teams that mostly wanted to play on noble/prince, while the other game's teams mostly wanted to play on monarch

If they are not kept the same, then a losing team can complain that they would have done much better in the other game, etc.

They need to be different in order to make sure that the map can fit the new amount of teams etc...

yes caseu this could affect the out come of each teams demise
eg if game one had raging barbs then my get overrun by them and destroyed
yet if game 2 had norm barbs then they could of survied on that game
you see what i mean
