hanspe Jun 23, 2006, 11:34 AM why must the scenarios be so big, maps bigger than standard will always crash on my pc while loading, standard maps mostly crash in the jear 300 by normal speed. and that still since i updated my pc after x-mas. the vanilla version runs fine in all sizes.

Silverkiss Jul 23, 2006, 01:53 PM Oh sorry its not the Early Civs, its the Small Earth one. Near the Hippus starting location, to the south.
Oh, a question: Why on your maps you always begin whit a part of the map far away alredy discovered and in contact whit some civilizations ? Is this itentional ?
strategyonly Jul 23, 2006, 03:48 PM deleted for now.
Silverkiss Jul 23, 2006, 04:07 PM Its not a problem, but when I start playing I always have contact whit 2-4 civs, and theres a part of the map far away from the starting position that is revealed but in fog of war... well not a problem.
Yajhah Jul 24, 2006, 02:26 PM Perhaps a bit off topic, but did the idea for the Map Good verses Evil come from the Steven King Book, "The Stand?" If I recall correctly, the good faction and evil fashion were set up in a similar fashion in the book towards the end.

Edit: Downloading a handful of maps now, looking forward to playing all day tommorrow.

Argpmait Sep 08, 2006, 12:37 AM Question about Sleepy Eye Map.
I am playing Malakim, and for some unknow reason, the barbarians made peace with him during turn 2. So, the map becomes really boring as there are no enemies to fight.
Is this a bug? Please help.

lordslimer Sep 24, 2006, 12:37 AM I was wondering if there was a description of each of these maps and/or a rating system for them.
The reason I ask is that sometimes I like the large/long epic style game and around emporer/monarch level of difficulty.
What do you recommend?

strategyonly Oct 26, 2007, 04:48 PM OK heres the UPDATED version for everyone.
Land of Dragons effective 26 Oct 07, just updated with 2025(k).
EDIT: Added Good vs Evil, also.
Dragonlord Oct 29, 2007, 04:16 AM Hi strategyonly,
I DL'ed your scenarios and and tried them both over the weekend - great fun, thanks!
Just a question though: is it intentional that so many resources are completely missing in the Land of Dragons scenario? I've explored almost all the map and have yet to find a single Incense, Reagents or Horse - not to mention that there doesn't seem to be a single mana node anywhere, either!
This sort of limits the game, as many units can't be built because of missing resources and magic is limited to whatever mana the civilization has to start...

Yes, I remember, we mailed before (though it's been a while now) - Stuttgart is still standing and going strong :)
Be sure and let me (and others) know when you've changed the Land of Dragons scenario - it's a lot of fun with all those unique barbarians! Much appreciated!
Just now, I'm fighting my way through the Good vs. Evil scenario - up till now (playing as Amelanthier on Emperor) it's been an incredible Barbarian slugfest! Killing dozens of barbarians every turn, fighting every inch of the way to establish a few towns... good thing you seem to have removed the upper cap on XP gained from barbarians.. my Gilden Silveric is up to about 150 XP already, exclusively from barbarians. I've got an Archer up to 110 XP for chrissake, just from defending my capital in the beginning.. never seen THAT before!
Having lot's of fun here... :-))))))
strategyonly Oct 29, 2007, 04:49 PM OK just updated with more Mana on islands more horse, reagents, cotton, etc.

nihonjeff Jun 03, 2008, 11:34 AM Strategyonly -- I've been reading up on the old Battlefield Illuria thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=169223), and the last post offers a link to this thread, indicating that the map had been updated. Do you have any plans to update it to make it compatible with the most recent versions of FfHII?
