HELP

Hi I just installed civ3 and updated it with the v1.29f patch. I thought that this version added in the stack movement ability in the game, but when i play there is not stack movement command. Is there something wrong?? Do only Conquests or PTW have this command? What should I do?

Try 'J'. And I'm not sure if it will work in Vanilla, but Ctrl-J should move just that kind of unit, when there's more than one type of unit in that stack. But I don't remember if that was introduced with Play The World, or with one of the patches.

I'm *pretty sure* the J and CTRL-J stack commands were introduced in Vanilla 1.29f.

Well, I found this in the 1.29f readme:
Additions v1.17f:
* Added stack movement. Hitting 'j' will produce the goto cursor. Once you select a destination, every unit of the active unit's type in that square will move to the specified location. Air units of the same type will attempt to rebase.

I certainly don't remember it working that way, but that was, what, four years ago? But I did find in my PTW instruction manual 'Ctrl-J' added as a new interface element/game feature. Not that it matters, I'm just being anal.
