View Full Version : Fantasyisland FFH2
Hian the Frog Jun 26, 2006, 06:37 AM http://Kael.civfanatics.net/files/FantasyIsland.zip
This scenario requires the Fall from Heaven 2 modpack, version 0.13.
The following civs are in this scenario:
Luchuirp - Garrim Gyr
Khazad - Arthurus Thorne
Malakim - Varn Gosam
Elohim - Einion Logos
Bannor - Capria
Amurites - Valledia the Even
Sheaim - Tebryn Arbandi
Balseraphs - Perpentach
Lanun - Hannah the Irin
Calabim - Alexis
Hippus - Rhoanna
Ljosalfar - Thessa
Kuriotates - Cardith
Doviello - Mahala
Clan of Embers - Sheelba
Tips:
Resources are not localized, and some are scarce.
Mind the waters, as there are many wild kraken roaming the seas.
Mind the barbarians, they start with nearly as many cities as there are civilizations. Barb are plentiful and very aggressive.
The map is nearly the same as the old and very good fantasyislands for FFH1.
This map is crowded. To expand: wars against your neighbours and barb or colonization of the many (and full of ressources) islands.
This map wraps in both the x and y directions.
This is a first version. All comments and suggestions are welcome. Give me feedbacks.

Enjoy!:D

Kael Jun 29, 2006, 07:39 AM There is a problem with the ftp server: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=175661, hopefully it will be resolved soon.
Shadius Jun 29, 2006, 08:44 AM Just finished playing this scenario as the Malakim and had a blast, for the most part. It seems a little bit unfair to have sure colonization options for at least three cities (speaking of the Vale region), but I guess this is made up for by the fact that it's a pain for them to get a coastal city. I eventually managed to capture a Doviello port, but it didn't do me much good, as the only way oceanwards was trough hostile waters. Ah, well.
I simply LOVE the barbarians on this map. I spent the better part of the first 200 years or so just battling them off. Half of those consisted solely out of desperately defending my only city. Eventually, 3/4ths of my army consisted out of defected Goblins and Orcs... Yeah, great fun. :D
I plan to play the map again as the Lanun. I'll let you know if I run into any issues.
And oh. You might wanna consider supporting a gamespeed other than Epic. For FFH2, I personally prefer the pace of epic with only half the turns or so (gotta love editing xmls), but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Hi,
Pleased that you liked it. As i say, the map is crowded. So, some civs had to die if you want to win. Some civs can really and easily expand but are still not sure to have plenty of ressources. Others, such as Bannor, could have 3 to 5 cities, overcrowded and full of ressources. Depending on what civ you chose, your game will be an "empire building" or a "conquest/warlike" one.
About barb. I love great barb pressure. That's why they are strong and aggressive.
A new and stiil aggressive scenario is under construction at that time.

strategyonly Jun 29, 2006, 09:04 PM I put your scenario on my thread so that you will not have a server problem anymore, i hope.
