View Full Version : Term 7 Secretary of State
dutchfire Jun 29, 2006, 02:13 AM Hello dear citizens, this is the Term 7 Secretary of State thread.
Current relations:
Mongolia: killed
Germany: We're at war with them, but we can make a peace treaty or a cease fire for nothing (they won't give anything either).
Russia: At peace, we can renegotiate a deal with them.
Turnchat orders:
cancel copper deal with Russia, and make this deal with Russia: 5 gold/turn for wheat. If they don't accept this deal for some reason, trade 5 gold/turn for clam.
robboo Jun 29, 2006, 07:24 AM dutchfire...when we get a censor would you like me to ask for a poll on that request for optics.
Its a can you spare this not a demand right?
If you dont respond I will look at the save to answer my questions and start a citizens discussion till we get a censor.
dutchfire Jun 29, 2006, 08:57 AM Yes it's a "Could you spare this for a good friend" thing, so it can't do any harm.
Btw, if you're going to poll things, you can also ask what the citizens want to give/get for peace, something like this:
give city
give tech
give gold
nothing
get gold
get tech
get city
abstain
and then making it a cumulative poll.
robboo Jun 29, 2006, 09:04 AM OK sounds good...
IF I am president... I will try to get people appointed by July 4th and then issue a stop order if the TC is before then as soon as we are able to talk to Bismark. That way we can poll.

DaveShack Jul 10, 2006, 05:35 PM Before we make this demand from Russia, perhaps we should discuss what it will do to our relationship with them. I understand from the instruction thread it's a "can you spare this for a friend" type demand, but I think even that might give a -1 on the relationship. Before proceeding, please check on that.
robboo Jul 10, 2006, 05:50 PM I agree with Dave. Spare for a friend is thr only demand we should make.
dutchfire Jul 11, 2006, 07:46 AM Guys, I know what I'm doing, I already checked it three times. I just gives us those extra beakers, and doesn't change our relationship at all.
robboo Jul 11, 2006, 09:41 AM I trust you Dutch. I guess it was the word "Demand" that had us worried.
DaveShack Jul 11, 2006, 02:20 PM Cool, that works for me. :)
I had never tried that, guess allies really are allies in Civ4. :D
