How are we going to take care of the SoW's request for troops this TC?

For TC 11 July:
I haven't completed plans yet for this TC, but robboo and I have been having a discussion (in which I'd be grateful for any comment - especially if you're an experienced warmonger) in the war thread about how things should go.
I think we're both of the opinion that we should be more aggressive towards the German troops - especially the ones on our soil. This means we are likely to lose some.
At the moment, almost all the cities that are building units are building cats. 2 spears, 2 swords and 2 crossbows would be very useful for attacking individual troops.
Would governors of cities other than BW & MG (which are too far away to get troops to the front quickly - horses would be good for these) consider switching production to meet this demand immediately, before switching back to complete the cats (I don't want to waste the hammers as I think we'll need cats if the citizens desire revenge)?
Many thanks.

BW will finish the forge: 2 turns.
Finish the settler: 6 turns (before hammer decay sets in, I hope).
and then start on a horse archer.

Have you guys made any headway on getting governors appointed? It would be nice to have them for the TC after the one scheduled now.

THere is now governor in MG, but I like to ask the governors council as a whole and the MoI to make a caravel there. We really need it.

I also agree with this - BW will produce some Horse archers for the war effort, so I thnk MG is free to build caravels

Great Atlas (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=173316) updated to 1382 AD (July 19).
Once I've had some time to think about the implications of peace, I'll probably post some requests - I don't think we can abandon building military units.
