Will there be some sort of a Civ 8? :D Global Nexus Jul 02, 2006, 07:43 PM I can't really guess where games they'll be in ten years, but I'm really hoping for virtual reality. Good virtual reality, anyway... Kozmos Jul 02, 2006, 07:51 PM ThE nuddy BAR! Maniacal Jul 02, 2006, 08:25 PM Crysis level graphics will be the min (I sincerely hope) (for many games anyways, not all). Other than that, improved physics, but the range of quality will be the same. They will be more expensive. leonel Jul 03, 2006, 12:17 AM Grand Theft Auto: Earth. :D Grand Theft Auto on the entire planet! How awesome would that be?! Maniacal Jul 03, 2006, 10:46 PM Grand Theft Auto: Earth. :D Grand Theft Auto on the entire planet! How awesome would that be?! Totaly. I've always wanted to defend my house in battle. Heh heh, that would totaly rock! Taking cruise ships hostage, having suicide bombers chase you across the globe... the possibilities are endless. Join the CIA, betray them to the Russians, start WW3, end the game by freezing to death in nuclear winter Africa. deo Jul 04, 2006, 08:29 AM Who knows how much space it will take, 200 terabytes :p Perfection Jul 04, 2006, 10:46 AM In 2016 I'll be looking forward to "Paddle Parade" the new sequel the "Conquest of the Catholic Schoolgirls" series (it runs on the PornStation 2 platform). Probably longer quests with more details (The ability to destroy a wall that in used as a city boundry comes to mind.) Yes, fully destructable environments are what I would hope for. tomsnowman123 Jul 04, 2006, 02:25 PM Maybe... this? Brainfeed and the PS4 (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=170889&highlight=Sony) kcwong Jul 05, 2006, 12:05 AM Let's see how Spores turns out... if it is a success, then its tecnology would be used in many other games... think of the possibilities... Kozmos Jul 05, 2006, 12:41 AM Let's see how Spores turns out... if it is a success, then its tecnology would be used in many other games... think of the possibilities... A NUDDY BAR! Heretic_Cata Jul 05, 2006, 11:24 AM A NUDDY BAR! The way i see it, that's the only reason for creating real life VR. Truronian Jul 05, 2006, 12:38 PM Grand Theft Auto: Earth. :D Grand Theft Auto on the entire planet! How awesome would that be?! It could also suck majorly, so many places you could accidentally crash your plane: Middle of Sahara Middle of Pacific North Pole Devon It would take hours to find virtual civilization. I'm persoanlly hoping for large genre spanning games, eg Civ 6 where you construct all the cities and take part in battles (with the option to disable these features aswell). Completely off-topic, my apologies, but I remember one time I crashed in the middle of a desert in a huge Battlefield: 1942 map. I was completely isolated, but hit the "request pickup" button anyway. Suddenly this Allied jeep roars across the rocky terrain, pulls up beside me and the driver says "hop in." The timing was unbelievable. On-Topic: I couldn't possibly fathom a guess at what future games will be like. More expansive versions of the games that we have now is the safest bet. carmen510 Jul 05, 2006, 03:15 PM Well, maybe a World War 3 game. Sims 4, Empire Earth 4, Age of Empires 6, GTA: New York, Playstation 5, World of Warcraft: 4th expansion, Civ6, and maybe a WWI game, (finally!) |
