My wife and her friend have been playing Diablo online for a million years. I want to get the two of them a new game that they can play together online that is similiar in style of play and theme (ie dungeons and dragons). Any recommendations?

I'm no expert, I'm afraid, but how about Neverwinter Nights? Or Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. Nice and simple RPG's that can appeal to the newcomer and the veterans.

Do they want to move to a new game? If not, Diablo 2. Steer clear of Sacred and its expansion though.

If yes, you might try a completely different game... this may broaden their horizons, and afterwards they will accept more new games.

I disagree that BG/IWD and NWN are "nice and simple" RPGs... they are, to D&D players and players who are familiar with PC RPGs... but definitely not for two who play Diablo1 for a million years. ;)

Actually they did migrate to Diable II when it came out (made Xmas shopping easy for me that year :goodjob: ). I was looking for something that plays similiar control and aspect-wise and keeps with the fantasy theme. I'll look at the other ones mentioned and see if I can get them to move on.
